TFF: When was the flood in Exeter?

HF: 1996 they called it the 100 year flood.

TFF: How did it effect the town?

HF: Some roads were complaetly flooded, and the water treatment plant was flooded, people had to drink bottled water for a week. Lincoln Street School was closed for 2 days because the Red Cross had people staying in the gym for a day. Their moble home were flooded.

TFF: Do you have any memorise from it?

HF: I remember seeing people canoeing in the streets.
