It's been a long time between updates. Time to remedy that:
Ghost has been released! What is ghost? Good question. Ghost is the feeder's first full-length recording. It takes a quieter approach than previous noise fests. You can upload the WHOLE dang thing here: www.soundclick.com/thefeeder
Alternately, you can purchase it from SHAME FILE and quite possibly a few other places soon. I've been told that copies are ACTUALLY SELLING from Shame File so you may want to get in quick. Of course you can always get a copy from me. Me email address is on this page somewhere. I'll hook y'up!

Thee split with goodbread is more or less ready. More news as they're actually put together.

Arrangements are under way for a live performance. My first live performance! At this stage we have a tentative line up including SCREWTAPE, W.I.T, The Undecisive God and myself. Should be a great show. I'll keep people posted.

As of about today my split with SCREWTAPE, called "Failure to Act" is available for your listening pleasure. A sonic behemoth I would say. If you want this you can get it. Excerpts have been uploaded here: www.soundclick.com/thefeeder.

What is the feeder? - back to top
The feeder is a noise/sound art project based in Melbourne, Australia. I guess what the feeder does is document via sound a personalised version of the collapse of modern society. A world of people force-fed consumerist propaghanda long enough will eventually turn into a world of ghosts. We live in a pretty hollow world already. Just think about where it's headed. Maybe listen to some of my stuff as you ponder such a thought.

As Your Deathweed Blooms, 3" CDR, Recorded 2004. (reviews)

As Your Deathweed Blooms was my first real attempt at making anything under the guise of the feeder. At 5 tracks in about 20 minutes it acheived its purpose, which was to be one noisy little bastard. To my utter suprise I got rid of all 20 copies I made in what I assumed would be all I had to make. It was welcomed by quite a few people more than I could have hoped. It is still available today for anyone wanting a copy. It is also available for free download. Check the downloads section below.

Pipe, 3" CDR, Recorded 2004. (reviews)

Pipe was my followup to As Your Deathweed Blooms. It takes the form of another 3" CD as I enjoyed working with this format. The tracks are shorter and there's more of them. It's more eclectic than Deathweed and has quite a bit more going on in it. Possibly too much for a 20 minute CD. I'm quite fond of this though.

Storms, Gemini/the feeder, Split CDR, Recorded 2004, Not yet released.

My first split. I start to explore longer tracks here, in fact just one long 30 minute track. Made up entirely of field recordings taken from within the city whereas Gemini's quiet drones are made up entirely of field recordings taken from nature.

Failure to Act, Screwtape/the feeder, Split/collaborative CDR, Recorded 2005.

One unholy fucking communion! Screwtape's overwhelming wall of crushing drone combined with the sonic mashing of the feeder. I'm truly proud of this release. I start to find a balance between sheer noise and sound art. We also combine the feeder's torment with Screwtape's terror on the final collaborative track, which is one huge fucking monster.

Ghost, Full-length CD, Recorded 2004-2005.

My first individual full-length recording. It's a much quieter release. I kind of wanted to make the album seem somewhat haunted. I don't know how well I succeeded but I'm pretty happy with the results. Available now!

SCREWTAPE
SCREWTAPE's mighty drone has the potential to destroy the world. Rarely does sound ever get this powerful. Highly recommened.

SHAME FILE
Clinton's love of Australian experimental music is a credit to it. You can also obtain some of my music from this very site.

Current playlist - back to top
A small portion devoted to the music I am currently listening to.

Gilles Gobeil - Dans Le Silence De La Nuit - empreintes DIGITALes - 2001

Unbelievable electro-acoustic music from this Canadian composer. Also one of the most delightfully creepy things I've heard in a while. Thanks to Andrew for the heads up!

Keith Rowe/Marcus Schmickler/Thomas Lehn - Rabbit Run - Erstwhile Records - 2003

I love everything I've heard on Erstwhile records. Erstwhile records + Keith Rowe = AMAZING!!!
