Where it all Began?
The Divahs Club was founded in 2005 by Rhonda Moore as a mentorship program for young girls. After prayer, she reached out to thirteen young ladies and their parents, who were 5th graders at Northwood Elementary located in Baltimore, Maryland. These thirteen young ladies became The Lil Divahs.
Our mission is to be mentors using our life experiences and share how God guides, supports, counsels and consoles us during the storms of life. We strive to be positive role models through example and speech, to build unity, morals , self-esteem and be spiritually grounded on the Word of God.
Our purpose is to reach out to every single person (those who are lost, struggling or growing) , creating a personal mentoring relationship. Mentorship helps us be accountable, encourages our walk in the Lord and give us advice from a Christian perspective. We will discover and grow in our role as Godly men, women and children of character through the life-changing relationship of being a child of God, self-love, self-nurturing and belonging to a SAVED family in Christ.
We were each created with unique talents and gifts. We aim to help you discover your talents and gifts and teach you how to use them to glorify God and be a person after God's own Heart.
The Divahs Club Incorporated in 2008, offering something for every member of the family. There are two fraternal organizations, book clubs, Parent Support Groups, Rollerskating Club and more. As a Community Service Organization we have donated our time to help those less fortunate, to talk to and feed the homeless, attend annual breast cancer walks, help with the Bea Gaddy Family Center and whatever we could to brighten the day of someone else .
In 2009, Demure Fashions, a modest apparel line, inspired by I Timothy 2:9 was launched to showcase modest raiments that represent our divine being, our dignity and our virtues.
Rhonda is truly a god-fearing women after Gods Heart. She is an inspiration to many. She has planted seeds inside our youth, making an impact in their life. She has received Tom Joyner's Hardest Working Award, two consecutive years in a row. Her deeds publicly declare her praise.

Almost 35 persent of girls in high school have felt sad or hopeless almost everyday for at least two weeks.
Almost 40 percent of date rape victims are between the ages of 14 and 17.
About 1 out of 10 young people self-mutilate.

When children don't experience acceptance and belonging in their families, they will naturally seek acceptance in other places.
Girls try to fill their need emotionally while Guys seek a sense of belonging physically.
Girls tend to focus on how they look and feel.
Guys focus on their physical strength, their manhood, their ability to win through sports and other physical activities.
Dating Relationships, Gangs, Cults, Gothic Groups and Cliques provide a false sense of Family.
Many of our Youth are willing to do ANYTHING to be Accepted.
Girls will try to create a "Family" in a Romantic Relationship with a Guy. She will first latch on emotionally and then physically.
She may think, "If I have a baby, I will have my own family." Not thinking of complications or consequences.
The Divahs Club can provide a sense of belonging and a positive environment for all members of your family, through mentoring groups, discipleship families and support groups. Having a foundation and positive mentors to turn to can change a life or save a life. We all need time to talk, share feelings and connect with others who may be feeling the same way.
We are a faith-based organization that covers every area of life, Spiritual, Intellectual,Emotional, Physical and Relational, to maintain a balance . Our foundation is having a personal relationship with God. Without having a personal relationship our thoughts would be distorted (intellectual); our emotions would be unstable (emotional); we would not value our body (physical); and many relationships would suffer (relational).
Our Vision
Our base scripture is found in Titus 2, which clearly states that women should mentor and train younger women and men should mentor and train younger men.
We strive to be proactive in reaching out to our children and moving them in a positive direction.
Our team and socialites work closely with the Executive Director to provide services for our members, partners and the community. We schedule and coordinate events to include monthly dinner meetings for informative sharing, parenting skills, mentorship, hands on training, fashion shows, etiquette classes, conferences, annual community leadership award, seminars and to began in 2010, Our Annual "DIVAH STARS" Award Banquet.
