There is also an offer to all artists interested, for someone to draw the redraws of pets for v3 (offering ten dollars USD per pet image), an also confirms that there will be 6 elemental versions of each species. A starting sketch of an Akoleid as well as an Actaeon, the third sketch can be seen in the dev blog (Presumably by Tigress).   | |

| Is v3 possibly going to be coming out sometime soon? "We want to release v3 soon - within the next few months, hopefully. No promises, but we're as sick of waiting as you are, and we can't dawdle anymore. Wish us luck - we need your support!" (Show your support by commenting on the Dev Blog!) A few new people have been hired to work on concept design (Kazejin and Benjamin Green), as artists (Tama and FilthHigh) and coding (Trevor). Tigress (in comments) says - "Anyways you guys do deserve to see some real progress. I hope to move into the third stage of beta very soon - hopefully by the end of August? - and along with that some of you will become beta testers. We won't be able to finish all our big features by then, but my plan in August is to tackle one of the major "sections" of the site (economy, pet skills, items/inventory, and so on) while Wulf focuses on another (the Flash-based explore system.) The game will really start to come to life once these two things are done." I wonder how they'll be gonig about choosing Beta Testers? Dev Blog  (just a neat image found on the v3 "Rules" page) The v3 Staff page is availible to anyone who wants to check it out. | Just wanted to say hi and let you know I am still alive and itnerested in Zetapets. Maybe not thise version- but I'm getting pretty pumped for v3. Few quick announcements: 1. This site is no longer updated. Don't bother requesting layouts or info, sorry guys ^^ Feel free to use the shoutbox as a chat, but keep it appropriate and rememer other people can read it too :P 2. I was thinking about "lending" Zetalia to another owner, untill I realized most of the info will become invalid once V3 comes out. But that seems like it still might not be for quite a while because... 3. OMYGOODNESS THIS IS AMAZING v3 DEV BLOG *drools Honsely zetapets won't be the same again. *winks at Tigress* If you plan on opening a few days early for VIP guests.. | I was mopping at work, and suddenly I had a great idea. I couldn't wait to get home and finally have a use for the 3.7 million zp just sitting in my bank! I'm holding a "contest" for submitting info to Zetalia on the zetapets forum. If you think and work hard, you could get over 100k! You don't even need any html skills for certain parts. | New Elemental Pets! | |
Hopefully you've seen the new update, Tigress (lead programmer, and main artist for v3) has made. She's been working on the new pet redraws for v3, and you may have seen some of her work in the polls before. The newest update is Elemental Pets, which when you can change your pet gives you a slight advanatage/disadvantage in battle, and a cool new color.
  Infernal - Hydral   Terran - Tempest  Solar - Lunar? (not completed yet)Here's what Tigress had to say on the matter. Questions were posed by various zetapets members on the forums.  Tigress on Elemental PetsYou'll be able to make your pets into elementals in v3, although not all elementals will be available initially (due to the fact that there's six images required per pet - that's a lot of images!) "Will you be able to switch your pet's elemental?" Nah, elementals are a permanent change. The advantage in battle generally won't be significant enough such that the sheer brute force of an elemental will beat a skilled normal pet. There are some differences which change how elementals fight in battle, though. And some elementals even suffer stat reductions as a result of their transformation. For example, the tempest Zethyc is able to fly in battle, which completely changes its style when fighting, but it also suffers a hit to its strength and its defense. It's basically a way of having a Zethyc (which is played as a ground pet in its normal form) but playing it as a flying pet. "How will you change your pet's elemental?" It's not really decided how you'll change your pets to elementals yet. All pets start out in their normal forms; changing them to elementals is like changing their colour, except more difficult (but it's more than an aesthetic change, obviously). "I don't like that the Zethyc is being changed from it's original style...." I dunno. I understand that the general appearance of the Zethyc is being changed completely, but I've always considered them to be more than just a pet on Zetapets to me - they're my brainchild, so to speak, and even if it's impossible to copyright or "own" ideas or concepts, I still consider myself somewhat possessive of the Zethyc and therefore its style. The Zethyc existed for at least a year as a creature that occasioned my doodles - long before it became a pet on Zetapets. I'm not too happy with how the Zethyc is drawn on Zetapets. I think it was released in 2005 or something, and I was a much worse artist back then than I am now, and I don't feel I did the concept, as it exists in my mind, justice with the drawing that exists currently for the Zethyc. .... The elementals are supposed to look different from the normal version. The Zethyc was originally based off the snow leopard and the lynx (and the redraw will still look like a snow leopard/lynx), but obviously there is some liberty taken with the elementals - for example the terran Zethyc is based on a tiger. There's some similarities to sabre toothed tigers in some of them too. And some really don't look like any species of big cat at all, like the hydral Zethyc. | |

The Giving Tree is no longer giving, it ended at midnight on the 25th ^^ Zetacubes have hatched, there's only a little more time 'till the Profile Contest on the forum ends, and New Years is coming up pretty fast! | One-of-each Item Donation | |||||
| *beep de boop de beep* Once again, I come to report the latest breaking news on Zeta. Thanks to Aashika, Battle Ops Director, for all the help explaining what happened to us poor little zetapians. It's a pretty basic story. On the 17 Dec of 2006, during the morning zetatime (around 9-12 AM give or take), some people on the forums noticed there was a bunch of wierd donations, that didn't really exist. It started with just one "not exisitng" item, and spawned to 287 pages worth.   (Click for bigger) Then a couple other people realized that wait - there was more than just fake items! Someone (the same person) had donated tons of rare items! And of course we zetapians were like "WHOOOT!" and took the donations, thanking this good Samaritan. But all was not well in the land of Sentrion. Sadly, these items were fake, and the culprit had somehow cheated and made it so one of each item in all of zetapets was created, and they donated it all (except for a few things which they sold in their shop for 199,999 zp). So all these items are actually fake, sadly. The person who did this is suspended, and the donations center has been closed. Sorry, the donations center is currently down. Things are being taken care of, so don't worry. Just don't pick up anything more from donations, and if you did pick stuff up, send a list of items you got to a mod (I talked to Aashika, I'm not sure if all the mods an do this). Curious to what I got? XD Like Aashika said, Holy crap! You been busy! XD Leave them in your inventory for now, I'll take care of it.

Wow, the zeta holiday have finally gotten underway! Unlike last year, they didn't start on the first, but on the 13th I beleive. Hmm.. That seems to be about 12 days till Christmas? :P Anyhow, the festivities are happening around the Gifting Tree! You can visit the gifting tree once every 8 hours (last year it was 12, and on the first day it was still 12 before it was changed). To get a free gift from the tree, click on either a present box or an ornament on the tree (or on the links at the bottom of the page). Either one, it doesn't matter what you click, it's completely random. But if you click the presents, you get a present, and if you click the ornaments, you get.. an ornament XD The presents can be opened and are all called "Holiday Gift Box" (but they're different sizes and colors). There's even a special "hidden" clickable link that you can click up to three times during the holidays, but you have to find it! Click for larger version

 I love halloween, apart from Christmas (where I get presents :P), it's my favourite holiday. I love to dress up too, this year I'm going to be a pirate (an icey one, seeing as I'm gonig tricker treating in the freezing cold)! I know you all want some halloween fun, and of course Zeta will do something interesting.. I wonder if it will be trick or treating? Because that's waht I'm certainly doing! There are 3 limited edition zetacubes to find, by looking for the 3 "Knock knock!" links hidden around the site. I'll give you a hint, the first one is on this very page! Good luck! | Many of you already know this, but I've quit Zeta. Don't worry, it's not because of being harassed or anything, I've just grown bored of it. I was trying to hang on till v3, but it seems Wulf has also given up on the projet. If you belong to either the Forum or the Club, visit them respectively to find out what will happen and has happened. So, untill then, I won't be updating the site. That meansyou shouldn't come here for item updates, but you should still come here for all the wonderful guides and tutorials :) I don't think I'll be hatching zetacubes either :/ Millions of new items available for viewing on this forum page. | ||

As you can see, there's a brand new layout up, I think it's one of my best yet. It should fit all browsers, except it might be a little bit too wide on 600x800's (but you can still see all the content). I've made it so that you can't tell it in an iframe in most of the pages ;) Anyways, take a look a this:

I'm also kind of ticked off, because someone stole my layouts and edited them, and was distributing them. Oh yeah! I hope you all had fun with th Hot, hot, hot heat wave! Dream is nice and safe now. Special trophies were awarded to participants, yuo could only get one of them.  There's a new item out cllaed the Vampiric Soul, rarity 99 and costing 99,999 ZP, so I'm guessing it's a staff item. It's a re-color of Ophelia's Soul Water Globe, if anyone was wondering. Not much news on Zeta other than this which I heard on the v3 Beta Teter Forums.. I talked to wulf, and he said The 1st of Jan, '07 would be a good date to open v3. - default And seeing how much there is left to do on v3, with only one programmer (poor Wulf!) this seems a lot more realistic. I guess I'll have to wait again to sort my inventory x) In other news, I'm starting to show of my Pixel site, now that it has some pixels.  Knock knock! Although they weren't announced, there's a whole bunch of new gumballs, all with fruit origins. These can be found from the gumball machine, in Nirvana.  I'd like to present a Limited Edition Zetacube, and this one has a little more meaning behind it than usual. A zetafriend of mine's dog passed away, and I'd like this zetacube to be in remebrance of him, and of every other beloved pet that has passed away. | Ok! This is the last time I'll be able to update Zetalia for a while, because I'm moving. (And I'm so sad I can't save Ironwulf ;_;) I don't know exactly when I'll be back, but less than a month sounds about right. Ok, you may have heard a lot about Lime elos lately.. on the genreal board, on the shops and the trades board. I just wanted to give you guys the facts so you don't get duped. First of all, look at Lim Leo's stats: As you see, the Lime Leo is neither retired, nor expensive. It still stocks in the Candy Shop. It has no other use than to feed for your pets. It has no reason to be expensive. So don't go buy one, unless you need it for your "gummy" or "Lime" or "Leo" gallery. Edit: (Directly form Outlaws_dream, Site Coordinator "the lime leos were retired only for one day to try to fix the glitch in them when they weren't stocking correctly"  On a cooler note, a spiffing new trophy is out. To get it, you need a 3.5 GPA (out of 4.0, that means no C's D's or F's) and to scan in your report card, and send it to honorroll@zetapets.com If your school has a different grading system, I'm sure if you mail the equivelent with a quick explanation staff'll accept it :) |

| New Layout!I hope everyone likes and notices the new layout! It may not be as fancy as th old one, but it's WAY more adaptable. The whole thing will fit no matter how ide your screen is, try it out by making your window smaller ^^ And the spiffy new links ot my affiliates. Apparently there was a hacker or something last night.. I wasn't there, I missed out on the details. But that's the reason there are the new security codes when you post. Just type in the code that's given once you're done writing your post :) Nighkeywn, Support Staff, can answer questions, comments and suggestions, and this what she said about the security codes: (I)f you have a better idea in mind, we could really use it. None of us like it either but it MUST be there! The security code prevents computers from submitting data. Kind of the same reason for the ones you need to do when you join a site. I think that is the cause of the hackers last night. It is there for a much better reason then just "safety" and I would be thankful the site owner cares about what happens to the users. The forums hackers have nothing to do with account hackers. The forums hackers use things that alter users' forums settings. Like people getting custom made avatars from a staff's acount and mixing up staff's avatars. Also making people post staff like "I hate Zeta! BAN ME!" If this does happen, you have nothing to fear. When hackers do it, they do a whole bunch of users at once. Not just one. The staff will know it is not you and track down the hacker. If your account IS hacked into (not by someone getting your password or by carelessness) we will return any items you lost. If you have a well written profile with loads of HTML on it, I would copy it into wordpad to be safe. This way the hackers are not a big deal and everyone has nothing to worry about. |

If someone could inform me, that'd be great :) I know for SURE that blogs don't work. I would suggest just saving your coidng on word or something, then making a simple table layout. You may have seen the announcement on the pop-up box.. :) The person who was the 3000th visitor gets a nice prize! Our winner is... default! Congrats! She'll be able to design a custom Zetacube that everyone can adopt :) I'll announce when it comes out. As for the Easter Cube... you people are too curious. Anyways, this is how it'll work. Moderators work in shifts, and look over the Forums for explicit content and often answer questions and keep the peace. If you want official info, go here: Moderator Application Page. Battle Ops are a lot like moderators, but monitor an IM like battle forum that will be released in V3, and you only need to be 15+ to be a Battle Op. | Ok, a lot of stuff has been going around about hacking, cookies, and strange links. Here's what's going on: Certain bad users have been posting codes in their lookups or shops that let them look at your Temporary Internet Files (Also known as cookies) (That's why shops have been shut off temporarily). This code is known as a Cookie Grabber. It is NOT Hacking, that's something different. No, when they see your cookies, they trade your cookies for theirs, and will become "you". They can do anything they want in your account, but they don't actually know your Password. Think of if you went to a library and forgot to log out, and someone else went on. If you think someone is in your account, change your Password and clear your cookies right away! HOW TO PREVENT IT Since the Cookie Grabber doesn't know your password you can: A) Do not visit shops or profiles. Don't visit a shop if a user mails you about a "Super Sale" or anything! B) Use a spare account that isn't a gallery if you have one C)Move everything to a second account (Not smart if you have a well-stocked shop) D) Clear your cookies. | If you've been here before, you might have noticed a small change in the layout. The longness of it was annoying me, and now it should fit in all sizes of screen resolution, at least in length. I stuck the counter and stuff on the left, and made a new banner. Also the news is wider :) Zetapets Birthday Calendar Other than that, I have great news! I have been able to make it so that the Zetapets Birthday Calendar is accesable to anyone! Now you can add your birthday without having to go through me, first. Make sure you read the rules! Remember, it is monitored, nothing profane. I'm still looking for submission for the art, Literature and Adoptables section! I'm thinking of making a little trophy or something for everyone who submitted. There is now a link ot mail me in those sections. How odd.. | There is a new rule on Zeta.. or atleast an old one has changed. Before, you were not llowwed to mention other petsites.. but not, all that has been changed. I personally DO NOT like this. People will spam about other petsites :( 2. Discussion of other pet sites Discussion of other pet sites is allowed as long as it is within the other guidelines. This means you will not be warned for civil conversation about other petsites or for providing constructive criticism about Zetapets; however, it will be obvious when discussions are created solely for malicious purposes and these will be dealt with as appropriate. In honour of Winter_heart's birthday, a beautiful new shield has been released! It is called the Winter Shield. Currently restocking in Emestar (most likely the Weapons shop on the Islands). I've also heard that Lexes Dymond Plushie has been released, and there are some on the Shop Scouter.. but no announcements. All owned by staff. I've started a Zetapets Birthday Calendar! Submit your birthday today! You can even optionally ad your age, a comment, and a link to your wishlist! | Ok! A bunch of stuff has been added to the site. I'm almost done! Here's what's been added: Images - I'm pretty much done changing all the images over to my new image host. Yay! No more broken images! :) Shop Layouts - The first round of shop layouts is totally complete! It's under "Zeta Graphics" on the right. (Or click on the image below)  Lists - I'm working on a bunch of complete lists of collectable items. Next will be the Christmas Items (XD), and the Winter items. I've just added the perfumes.
