The DAISY HILL

KEEPING MUSIC LIVE!!

LIVE MUSIC AT THE DAISY HILL

The Daisy Hill pub, at Heugh Edge, near Sacriston, Durham, puts live bands on every Friday night. A good musical cross-section of bands are booked,  suiting most musical tastes. Music ranges from hard rock, blues, r'n'b, to rock'n'roll, 60s to present day. Bands usually start at 9pm, playing two 45 minute sets. Only a minimum cover charge is asked for.

Bands to have played there include The Force, Tubesnake, The Mosaics, The Whole Hog, The Poorboys, 101, FM, Gerry Gillard, Floyd 2, Fizzyfish, The Poor boys, Accoustic Beatles, Jo James Band, Kimera, Happy Cats, The Kicks, Feed the Bear, The Revolutionaires, ....to name but a few.

The venue (previously a working men's club) is able to offer a substantial, large concert room with bar, large stage with basic lighting & dressing room. Bands are introduced and looked after by John, who is committed to promoting live music.

A good sized, appreciative & discerning regular crowd has steadily built up and bands will be assured of a warm reception. The venue can hold up to 120 seated, usually averaging 75-100. There is no similar live music venue in this area of Durham.
