Job Responsibilities | The ideal candidate will possess excellent related experience in RF design, RF Testing, and Electrical Engineering as it relates to RF and CATV equipment. The RF Test and Electrical Design Engineer ensures incoming and outgoing equipment is tested, categorized by status, repaired and or refurbished as needed, and is at spec before entering inventory. Once inventoried and sold, ensures outgoing equipment is ready for sale and deployment in the field. In addition, the ideal candidate will head up our repair facility and offer both warranty and non warranty repair services. The candidate will also have a passion for new ideas and new ways of solving problems and creating solutions. The ideal candidate will be able to work with internal and external customers to design, upgrade, and modify components and equipment to meet needs. This includes working in partnership with our manufacturing partners to ensure manufactured goods meet the specifications of the design. The candidate will possess an understanding of the inner workings of a Hybrid Fiber Coax cable television system and will be able to serve as a consultant to our client base and assist them with upgrades and equipment purchases that require technical expertise over and above the knowledge base of our frontline sales representatives. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to perform a variety of non-routine tasks to ensure production quality standards are met for new, used, and refurbished equipment. Perform complex set-up, calibration, testing, and fault isolation of circuits, components, sub-assemblies and assemblies. Recognizes failures and set-up problems at the component level, and able to determine quick and cost effective options for repair and or upgrade. Candidate must be able to perform Final Quality Assurance Testing on Units & Systems. Operate programmable auto-testers, and other equipment such as spectrum analyzers, etc… Must be able to work from test procedures, assembly drawings, schematics, parts lists, and wire lists including working closely with engineering partners. May provide work leadership and/or train test technicians. Able to prepare written reports and may make recommendations for procedural changes. Performs other duties as assigned. |

Experience: | Individual must be detail oriented, accurate, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to manage a variety of tasks and meet multiple demands in a dynamic atmosphere, in addition to working with all levels of personnel and thrive in a team oriented environment. Must be flexible and able to work various shifts to meet business need. Must maintain professionalism at all times. Must be able to work well individually and with others. Must be a self starter. Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance is required. The ideal candidate will possess an Associate’s degree or higher Some bending and lifting required. |
