Delving Into Our Roots

Welcome To Our Family Heritage Website!

I am very interested in our roots and where our ancestors came from. I have been researching our genealogy since 1989 and have found many vital records, photos, obituaries, gravestones, and distant cousins (whom I have had the pleasure of meeting). If you find a connection to our roots, please contact me by clicking on the Contact Me link on the left. Please sign the Guestbook with comments and suggestions. If you can identify any of the Mystery Faces, please contact me. Thank you!

Some Interesting Facts

Our ancestors emmigrated to New England in the United States from Northern Ireland, England and Canada. William Wilson & Betsey Glancy (our ggg-grandparents) came from Londonderry, Ireland to America during the great potato famine in the middle of the 1840's. Although I have not found the passenger list they were on, they came through Canada, lived in Boston, Massachusetts and then settled in Mount Holly, Vermont. According to the 1850 US census, they were living in Ward 8 in Boston, Massachusetts and the census stated that they had a son, William born in Canada two years earlier.

James William Brown (our grandfather) worked as a Section Foreman for the Boston & Maine (B&M) Railroad. His wife, Beatrice Geneva Wilson worked as a Crossing Tender for the Boston & Maine Railroad during the 1940's. Check out the article with photo under Photo Gallery on the left and photos under B & M Railroad on left.

Louis Pecor (our gg-grandfather) was in the Civil War in 1864 and 1865 and shook hands with President Abraham Lincoln! He held the American flag while riding on a cannon in the Founder's Day parade in Charlestown, NH on September 28, 1916. Check out the photo under Photo Gallery on the left.

IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ!

As most of you know, living individuals should not be posted on the internet to maintain their privacy so the genealogies here will end before they get to the living individuals' generations or the word "Living" will replace their names. Each genealogy has only one page.
