Turbo Timer
Whether you have a turbocharged sports car, a turbo diesel truck or even a turbo wagon, the HKS Turbo Timer IV is a must. The HKS Turbo Timer IV is designed to extend turbocharger life in turbocharged vehicles by allowing the engine to idle for a pre-set amount of time after the ignition key has been turned "OFF " and removed from the key cylinder. This permits the engine oil to circulate through the turbocharger bearing housing which draws heat out of the bearings and impeller shaft to bring the temperature down to a safe level before the engine is shut down. If this "idle down" process is not practiced on a regular basis the hot engine oil will stop flowing along with the engine and sit on the turbo bearings causing long term damage. This process of cooking the bearings is known as "Coking". Coking is the number one cause of bearing failure in factory turbocharger failure.

Wastegates
HKS External Poppet Type Wastegates are available in Standard and Race configurations. Both feature stainless valves, die cast mounting bases, actual valve seats, fully sealed shafts, high temperature diaphragms, and large outlet pockets. Standard gates utilize a 40mm valve and are recommended for use on engines producing upwards of 500 hp. Race gates are 50mm and will support up to 1,000 horsepower. Also available are several different wastegate springs, base flanges, gaskets, and flex outlet tubes for various custom wastegate installations. |

HKS Super Sequential Blow Off Valve The Super Sequential Blow Off Valve is a pull type relief valve, unlike other blow off valves which are push type. The SSBV is actuated by pressure alterations only, ensuring quick valve response and complete closure during idle. Standard blow-off valves must utilize large valves in order to accommodate high boost (high horsepower) applications. However these large valves react slowly and require high activation pressure to open. Smaller, fast reacting valves, do not permit the air flow required for high horsepower. The Super Sequential Blow Off Valve incorporates both for maximum performance. It is engineered utilizing a small primary valve for ultra quick activation along with a secondary valve for additional relief capacity. The SSBV is made of billet aluminum and emits a unique aggressive sound. (Absolutely the best sounding blow off valve on the market!) |

Intercooler Kits
All HKS Intercooler Systems and upgrades utilize tube and fin intercooler core, as well as mandrel bent intake pipes, aluminum castings and fiberglass reinforced joint hoses. Where entire intercooler system upgrades are not feasible or effective, HKS also offers Intercooler Pipe Upgrades designed to reduce pressure loss through the factory intercooler system. These kits offer significant gains for relatively little cost. Tube and fin intercooler cores channel pressurized air through thin tubes filled with internal radiating fins. Cool ambient air rushes through external radiating fins between and perpendicular to the tubes, which provides a way for radiating heat to escape. with this type of construction, relatively small core sizes can be used, thus reducing pressure loss and at the same time making intercooler upgrades feasible for a greater number of vehicles. Mandrel bent intercooler pipes ensure the least amount of inlet restriction possible throughout the entire intercooler system as compared to press bent pipes. The mandrel bending process produces bends that do not reduce the inner diameter of the pipe, thus maintaining the efficiency of a straight pipe. |

Sport Turbo Upgrades
HKS Sport Turbo upgrades are straight replacement turbos to enhance a vehicles performance by allowing for a higher total horsepower to be achieved. These turbos may not be the largest turbo available, but for street performance they offer the perfect compromise. Not too much lag but significant horsepower!
