A long time ago, the world was black. Nothing existed in this world of nothing. No stars winked in the blackness, no light lit a path or showed the truth. Silence reigned. Centuries passed and the darkness evolved. The darkness had no eyes, no ears, and no mouths. They had many legs, and many feelers. As they moved through the eternal night, the darkness grew. Slowly, the empty world became gray, the darkness forming small eyes and small ears. They lost most of their many tendrils and kept only four. As the darkness formed, the lands lightened. These new creature still lived in a land of eternal stillness. Some of the most powerful of the darkness rose, taking in more and more of the night, the stole much of the darkness from the others and became more powerful in themselves. They evolved faster. Soon, the land was bright, almost white, an open canvas for the strongest. The two who had become took their paws and seized the darkness they had absorbed and painted. The black returned, but blue mixed in as did purple. Bright planets of fire dotted the black to bring light to all in the never-ending world. They painted large planets that were made of air, and ones of earth. Some far away from the fire planets were of water, frozen forever. And the elements were made. Not that anything was named then.

The two stepped back and looked at their work. They consulted and decided it was too abstract. From a distance, they look wonderful, but the smaller creatures that had become along with them had nowhere to survive. So, they looked at the smaller beings. They needed food. They needed water. They needed certain things. The two of Darkness looked through their abstract painting and found the small lands that were perfect for the beings to live on. One small planet of earth caught their attention. Not to close to fire to burn, and far enough away from ice to not freeze. Water moved sluggishly. It was toxic. The Darkness frowned. Their painting wasn’t so beautiful up close. So, they took this round ball into their paws and painted details. They shaped mountains, and covered the land with grass. They formed the world of Sonra, the land of detail. They nodded over their work, but found that it died quickly. They debated and finally surrounded the land in a thick, multi-layer shield. They smiled, pleased. The land was protected from the darkness that surrounded it and from the bright fire and ice from the emptiness. The grass grew, and many trees formed. The two small round lands were pushed close to Sonra and the Darkness was happy with their creation. They looked at each other and found another canvas. They were of black and they quickly made a different. One became black with a dark blue shine for eternal life. The other became a bright white. They painted eyes, shaped fur, made each other into the perfect hunters.... To read more go here: History and Plot Part One
