You don't have to bleed. Christ bled for you.

It's been a while!

Hello! How are you? I'm busy with college and whatnot.

New Devo up! It's called "Sweet Water" and it's on the Devos and Thoughts page. Check it out.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

New thoughts, posted on Devo and Thoughts page.

Also, from Luke 1:37, to think about:

"For nothing is impossible with God."

It's been...forever.

Hey guys, after a looooooooooooong time away, I'm back!

I've posted a new devotional (as of August 14th, 2006) entitled Face Value.

Tis about seeking the face of God and you should definitely read it.

Love you all! God bless!

Update-o.

Hurrah! As of right now, there's a new devo up. April 5th, 2006: entitled Be Blessed.

It's a bit long (heh, as usual) but you should read it anyway. Print it out if you have to. I don't mind. In fact, if you want to print copies for other people, I don't mind that either. Go for it.

Take care! God bless!

Hurrah!

Hey, guys! Background music! It starts out as Rich Mullins talking, but it does turn into a song. What do you think? Posting the lyrics and stuff on another page on here; great song. Thanks to Brian William at COYN for copyright info/permission. Look for a new devo soon, but it's not up tonight!

You're important to God! You're noticed by Him!

Hey!

I'm back! How is everyone? A new devo, you may or may not have noticed, posted about two weeks ago. New stuff coming soon, hopefully!

Isn't God good?

-audrey g.

Serious stuff...yeah.

Well, the good news is that I posted a new Devo! Yes, tonight: January 21, 2006.

It's pretty intense, however. But, important.

God is so awesome. Lately, He's just been reminding me of some things, and teaching me some things.

1. It's not about me, and what I can do. It's about Him.

2. Humility also means opening myself and saying, 'Less of me, more of God - I mess up, and He is my Healer'. What people think of me shouldn't matter, as long as I am pointing to God and not myself. If I look a fool, a horrible person, so be it. I pray that someone can see the change in me and know that it is God and not myself at work. I am still learning how to count my past as loss compared to the all-surpassing greatness of Christ, and to offer sacrifices that cost me something.

...and a happy new year!

2006! Wow. Already.

Yes, and today, January 1, 2006, I have posted a new devo-- Mountain Climbing 102. Check it out!

God loves you! I pray that this year will be an AWESOME one for you, filled with reminders of His grace, mercy, love, and forgiveness. A year filled with learning and knowing who God is, and His character, His glory. I challenge you this year to find at least one non-fiction book about God ("When I Don't Desire God: How to Fight for Joy" by John Piper is one good one, as is "A Woman's High Calling" by Elizabeth George, if you're a girl). I have some I'll be reading, email me if you want some more recommendations.

I pray that for you, and me, this year will be one where we grow and learn even more what it means to shine like the children of the King that we are. God bless you! He can and will heal your heart completely!

Amen!

the blood:Hope site.

Welcome to the blood:Hope site.

I'm not sure how you got here. But I do know that if you're one of the thousands of people across America who call themselves "cutters", welcome. God brought you here for a reason. And that reason is freedom.

My name is Audrey, and I'm not a shrink. I'm not a doctor, I haven't spent years studying cases to finally post this.

I used to cut. Then one Thursday morning, God woke me up and let me know that enough was enough. He loved me too much to let me slip away. He loved me too much to let me continue spiraling downward toward a path I thought I could control, one that probably would have led to eventual suicide.

Maybe you're sitting there, reading this, and you're thinking, "Man, that's screwed up. What has God ever done for me?"

Maybe it hurts deeper than you want to admit, reading this and knowing that you haven't had a Thursday morning yet. You're asking, "Why doesn't God stop me if He loves me so much?"

God does love you. Jesus loved you more than life itself.

You don't have to bleed. Christ bled for you.

Welcome to your wake-up call.

Explore! Stick around. I'm not here to condemn. I was lost once, too. I remember how much it hurt, to think I was alone and trying to hide from everyone else. I'm not trying to be God, either. I'm just here to let you know that it's okay- you're important to Him, He loves you, and He's not giving up on you. God is faithful even when we're faithless (2 Timothy 2:13).

Read some testimonies (more coming soon!) and maybe email me with questions. Just know that God loves you so much more than you can even imagine, and it kills Him to see you destroying yourself. He loves your soul, and He's not going to give up on you. That tug in your heart, telling you to stay even when everything else wants you to close this window? That's the Holy Spirit, desperately trying to get you to open up and let Him heal you.

Also know that while God loves you, and He will forgive, that you can't wait until it's too late. He's giving you this chance, right now, to trust Him -- and it's simple.

Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).

Yeah, that simple. He died for you, defeated death and rose from the grave, and He's still alive in heaven today. Maybe you've heard that message before, and just let it whiz by your head, without letting it get to your heart. Give it a chance. Listen again:

Jesus died on a cross for you, bled his heart out for you, threw a funeral party for death itself, walked out of His tomb and even after all your mistakes, He's holding out this gift: salvation and eternal life, healing, and a purpose for your life (Jeremiah 29:11). Just admit that you've sinned, believe in your heart what He did for you and confess that Christ is Lord. It's that easy. If your heart is in it, you're not lying. Don't let those nagging thoughts in your head convince you otherwise.

Just pray! If you still don't understand, or want to talk about it a little more, email me! I'll talk with you, pray with you if you need me to, and help you get started in your Christian walk. Even taking that first step away from cutting. I know it's hard, I've been there, but with God's help, it can be done. You can let it go.

What are you waiting for? This is your life.

(Not really familiar at all with the story of Jesus? Or need to refresh your memory? Check out www.biblegateway.com - I suggest starting with the book of John. Or grab a Bible from somewhere. Especially read John 18-20, the account of Jesus' death and resurrection.)
