We appreciate your interest in writing for The Blessed Room Magazine. We welcome new writers and new ideas. We only endorse Christian views and interests. Here is some info about our magazine, our readers, and what we are looking for in writers.

Our readers are from all over the U.S. We offer biblical views on many subjects. We appeal to men and women alike. We are no respector of persons. Remember, Jesus must be presented with HIGH regard in any work you submit to us. We want to build up His kingdom and REACH the Lost!

Our Purpose: We are here to inspire, encourage and uplift people through their journey in life. The Blessed Room is published bi-monthly and designed for people who either know God or want to know God. 

We are looking for: children's stories and devotionals, inspirational art, inspirational photography, skits and plays, bible stories, short stories, e-books, inspirational cartoons, inspirational fiction and non fiction, interviews, book reviews, music reviews, movie reviews, personal testimony, poems, book excerpts, devotionals, quizzes, interviews, news, humor and fun, hot issues, song lyrics and recipes.

Interest Areas Include (but not limited to): beauty, fashion, fitness, entertainment, career, relationships, finance, humor, art, music, Christian living, encouragement, faith, family, gospel, grief, marriage, miracle stories, missions, politics, home education, healing, healthy living, culture, humor, illness, holidays, kids and parenting, leadership, ministry, prayers, stewardship, teens, men, woman, seniors, testimonies, worship and praise, interviews and sermons.

How You Can Contribute Articles-

As a writer, you can contribute ideas and articles that offer a variety of information, inspiration, and encouragement based from a Christian perspective. TBR magazine invites your input! Columns provide and "open microphone" to address various topics of concern to The Blessed Room community as well as viewpoints and opinions. Specialized information on a subject of the writer’s expertise is welcomed. Please email inquiries to theblessedroom@yahoo.com. 

Quick Guidelines

• Send article to theblessedroom@yahoo.com.
• Articles longer than 1,000 words will not be reviewed.
• Please send articles as a microsoft word document or type in email.
• Make sure document is doubled spaced.
• Only send 1 article unless informed otherwise. Please wait until that one is accepted before sending any more. Sending more articles does not up your chances of being published. Thank you for understanding.

Articles: New Policy.

Article length must be no longer than 1,000 words. We do not have time to read articles greater in length. Thank you for being considerate of this.

Devotionals/ Fillers: 250-500 words

What we are looking for in writers...

1. Intelligent wording, with "good Christian subject matter”.

3. We reserve the right to turn down any submissions and/or pull them from our magazine at any time without further contact.

4. Include your name, web address, by-line, and email address on each story.

5. We will edit submissions as necessary to fit our content and space needs. Any significant change will be forwarded to writers for approval before publication.

HOW TO SUBMIT: After we respond to your query, upon acceptance, please send as a microsoft word attachment or copy-and-paste your material into the body of an email, double spaced, and send to theblessedroom@yahoo.com. Please use an appropriate subject line. "Submission: (subject)" . One story per email. We will inform you which issue it will be published in.

By-lines:

1.    Please indicate how you would like your by-line to read: e.g.: Lisa Flemmings, Columbus; Lisa F., Columbus; or L.F., Columbus.

2.      Please include a short summury about yourself:e.g.: Lisa Flemmings is a Christian freelance writer from Columbus, OH.

3.      If you represent a business or organization directly related or in agreement with The Blessed Room activities; or to the information you are supplying, you may add that name or business: e.g.: Lisa “God Pleaser” Flemmings, Youths For Christ.

Reprints

·        When submitting material, please let us know if it has been
printed previously (and when and where) or if you have also
submitted it to another publication. Articles from your support group's newsletter may be submitted if they give permission for us to reprint. We will include a credit line. E.g.: Lisa Flemmings, excerpted from The   Virtuous Woman Newsletter, reprinted by permission.

Methods of Submission

• Our preferred method of accepting material is by e-mail in
plain text or as an attachment- microsoft word preferred.
