Black Prince V Bisley All Stars
Sunday 2nd April 2006
Black Prince 3
Ross Gregory (1)
Lee Noel (1)
Mark Avis (1)
Bisley All Stars (Charity Shield) 2

With Black Prince sitting joint top of the Charity Shield Group Stage table (only 2nd on goal difference) this being their final game of the group was their chance to push them through to the knock out stages, it was also a chance for revenge against the team who knocked them out of the County Cup.
With manager Dan Ponting away on Paternity leave skipper Steve Othen took charge of 1st team affairs.
Othen welcomed back Mark Avis, Jack Freeman and Terry Parker.
The 1st half was all Black Prince and with the wind behind them and the opposition keeper clearly not on form the result looked to be a formality. However, BPFC did not manage to punish Bisley and went in at half time all square at 0-0.
The second hald half saw a rejuvinated Bisley punish BPFC and take the lead before some fancy footwork from Mark Avis saw him go pass the defence and finish well past the Bisley keeper, 1-1. However, Bisley were not finsihed yet and took the league for a second time before Lee Noel equalled the scores again 2-2.
In the last few minutes a hard working BPFC were awarded a free kick just outside the Bisley box, upstepped Lee Noel. Noel and Gregory had clearly practiced this before on the training ground. Noel used his pin point accuracy to hit the ball directly at the wall so that it would bounce back and land at Gregory's feet who the proceeded to smash the ball into the bottom corner. 3-2.
Another good win as the BPFC road to the final continues.
