IT'S THE BIG SWING BAND!

If you are looking for live music from the golden era of the 1940s and 50s, either for dancing or listening, Paula Baldwin can offer you a number of unique options.

THE BIG SWING BAND is the classic Miller line up. Four Trumpets, Four Trombones, Five Saxs, Piano, Bass, Drums and Guitar. Plus Three Vocalists, Musical Director, Compere. We also have Four Dancers available if required. The band plays for dances or concerts, theatre shows and all manner of private and public events. Plus their own special Dance or Listen Night - an entertaining music show for you to watch or get up and dance to.

(The Big Swing Band was formed in 2003 by the late Keith Baldwin, international jazz trumpet player and band leader. When he died in 2004, Paula Baldwin became Band Leader)

THE SHINY STOCKINGS DANCE BAND is a smaller version of the Big Swing Band. One Trumpet, One Trombone, Two Saxs, Piano, Bass, Drums, Guitar, up to Three Vocalists, Compere and, if required, Four Dancers.

The repertoire includes programmes for 1940s Nights; Swinging 1950s Nights plus some early Rock'n 'Roll; and Strictly Come Dancing Ballroom Nights. The choice is yours. It's the small band with the big band sound and ideal for smaller venues.

JAZZ BANDS. Paula Baldwin can bring you a jazz band, from 3 to eight musicians, playing either Mainstream Standards, foot tapping Dixieland or sophisticated Cocktail Jazz

MARTINI . Vocalists Marty Wilson and Christine Scott team up to provide a great night of music - everything from Swing to Pop - singing to top quality recorded music tracks. Perfect even for the smallest venue.
