About my collection |
My ever-growing bandaid collection spans two volumes and holds over 1000 different bandaids from all over the world. It's on plain ol' loose leaf paper (the kind you used in high school), each bandaid (all clean, of course) stuck on the paper with an entry describing what kind of bandaid it is, when and where it was obtained from, a short story or insight or observation about the bandage, AND if the bandaid was given to me the lucky contribuitor gets to write a story and autograph. I've been collecting for over ten years and get my bandaids from all over -- from the grocery or drug store, from friends, from the internet. Some of my bandaids have been sent to me by manufactoring companies, some I've swapped with other collectors (although there aren't many of us around), some I've gotten from hospitals and doctor's offices. Everywhere I go I'm always looking for new bandaids!

Other fun bandaid stuff |
I've written letters to several different bandaid companies, some of them have even sent me bandaids for my collection. I've completed a bandaid work of art, made entirely of bandaids, entitled "Self-Portrait of the Bandaid Queen." I'm making a giant, six-foot-tall bandaid costume so I can be a giant living bandaid and wave at people on the street (a unique and effective advertising tool - how can you forget a giant bandaid on the side of the road?). I've got bandaid books, bandaid candy, bandaid newspaper articles, birthday cards made with bandaids, bandaid jewelery, bandaid boxes... One thing I don't have is custom-made bandaids, bandaids printed with "Marz the Bandaid Queen," which I would like greatly much but can not afford.

Heartbreak Bandaid |
For my first CD, Dork Enters Paradise by Marz is a Dork, I knew I had to have a song about bandaids. So I cooked up "Heartbreak Bandaid" which was supposed to be a mock country-music song. Well it turns out that I can't really sing mock country music, so this is what you have. Dork Enters Paradise will be available on e-bay for a limited time, or you can e-mail me at bandaidqueen@gmail.com for information on how to get a limited-edition, signed and numbered copy (while supplies last).
