Le Théâtre de la Parole Lyrique

Our Ensemble, Le Concert Enharmonique

Le Concert Enharmonique is the musical collaborator of Le Théâtre de La Parole Lyrique.  Founded by the harpsichordist Lillian Gordis in 2008, the ensemble will debut this summer as a part of the Berkeley Fringe Festival.

Director and founder Lillian Gordis was born in 1992.  She began her musical studies at the age of 4 and commenced harpsichord studies at the age of 9.  She began with several years of studies with Katherine Roberts Perl in San Francisco.  She has since worked extensively with Arthur Haas in New York City, and has had a series of courses with Pierre Hantaï in Paris.  She has participated in a master class with Alan Curtis, and has had private lessons with Jacques Ogg and Luc Beauséjour. She has performed solo several recitals, and played with City Concert Opera in Il Trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno and with Gilbert Martinez in various events at MusicSources.  She has a special predilection for the works of Bach and Scarlatti.  Her main influences are Jordi Savall, Pierre Hantaï, Le Poème Harmonique and Gustav Leonhardt.  She is very interested in the special relationship between the spoken word, music and spectacle as existed in 17th century Europe.  She is proud to begin this collaboration with Le Théâtre de la Parole Lyrique.
