Save The Scene

Save the Scene is a movement dedicated to bringing up the falling CD and overall music sales. Because, according to both Time and Rolling Stone (along with a slew of other news sources), music sales are at their lowest in the past ten years. And CD sales are even worse off. And its not iTunes fault, because its music sales including sites like iTunes that require you to pay for music instead of getting it for free that are falling.

Why aren't people buying music? To me, it is a mystery. There's something for everyone, from My Chemical Romance to Black Tide to Lil' Wayne to Hannah Montana. We don't give a crap what you buy, all we care is that you freaking buy it.

How can you help? It's easy, spread the word, you yourself might buy only CDs all the time, but do your friends? If you really want to help, you could put posters up in your school (if you're allowed to) or help The Atomic Pear and its partners in Scenage get ahold of some more...popular clients. We mean, if you just happen to have Gerard Way's phone number, we'd be very, VERY happy to have it. And we promise to hold it with deep confidenciality and not be spaz-fan like if and when we call.
