The Christian Battleunit

The Christians battle unit

A Christian may think they are standing alone. Do not be deceived – The Holy Spirit is prompting many people to pray for you. You are never alone. God has put into your life various people with various strengths and these form your battle unit. Do not get proud of any of your achievements. These are mostly because of prayer and God and the part you played is generally an obedience issue. The danger of locking down a battle unit into a certain set of close friends is that you restrict the Holy Spirit from controlling where and when you will be used and also where, when and who will be best to strengthen you.

Unfortunately, there are not many who have reached this level of spiritual maturity. As a stepping stone only therefore and not as the end goal the following can be used by Christians.

We all need different types of people with different strengths to call on. The Holy Spirit will show you who you need to be able to call on and you can define a basic list of people and you can fill in the tables below.

Note: We need the following three things to complete the first table:

  1. Knowing what these strengths are;
  2. Knowing who has them;
  3. Knowing when to call who.

Below is a table you can cut out which shows a typical battle unit. Get permission from the people you would like to make part of your battle unit and then fill in their names and contact. Below this table is another which you can paste back to back with the first. This second table lists the areas we all need to address at all levels of our being, spiritual, emotional and physical. You need to circle where you are strong and underline in red where you are weak. Now when someone needs help you can quickly identify if you are able to help them without also falling into the traps they are in. Remember to update this each time you redo your measurements (see Measurement chapters). As you change you may need to change your battle unit table too. You should be growing.

Stick them back to back and put them in plastic. Keep them on you at all times.
