My name is Rick Evans. I was born in a small mining town called Evander in
1964. My family travelled extensively and seldom remained in one town longer than a year.
I was always that new kid on the block, which meant that I experienced the persecution
from a very young age.
I found that Jesus Christ accepted me just as I was. Despite growing up in a church-going
family, I was a horidble child. At the age of 7, I gave my heart to Jesus and His presence
moved in. at the age of 14 I began playing with spirits from the dark side and found myself possessed at the age of 15 2 years later I gave my heart to God anew and was delivered from the thing that had destroyed my life. I was Baptised and I have walked with God since then.
I wish I could say I became an angel over night, but truth is 24 years later,
I still have a long way to go. But the journey is a ride worth a billion dollars +.
I have experienced temptation, failure and defeat. I have sinned and am unworthy of the great
forgiveness Jesus Christ gives. I learnt of God’s grace and I have learnt to walk in the Spirit at
all times even though so many times I still fall.

3 months ago, I had a vision where I was a tree in a garden.
The Father was walking in the garden and he came and inspected me, searching for fruit. He turned
to the gardener (Jesus Christ) and said where is the fruit on this tree.
The gardener (in pain) replied, “there is none”.
The Father replied “Cut it down and throw it in the fire”.
I was shocked.
The gardener replied “Let me tend and fertilise it and if it still does not bear fruit then I will cut it down”
The Father accepted this.
When just I and the gardener were alone I asked what fruit the Father was looking for.
He replied – “What kind of tree are you?”
I replied that I was not sure.
He pointed out that I had been given this task to do and for the last year I had allowed all the
concerns and loves of this world to blind me.
Now I have finished His work, may this fruit multiply in you and may you too bear much fruit by
walking in the Spirit with God.

Prologue
Scripture tells us that in the last days you will see wars and rumours of wars. (Matthew 24: 6)
This has been going on almost since the great flood of Noah’s time and in fact prior to this too.
This scripture, when quoted out of context of the Bible, has caused much confusion on the issue of the last days. I believe this Scripture has been given to us to encourage us by showing that God is always in control. Even through the hard times of War, Famine, Drought, etc., and even when there is a threat that War would start, He is still in control.
If this were the only scripture relating to the last days I might agree with the cynics that there does not appear to be a “Last Days”. To their shame however there are many references to the last days and all of these need to be mapped together to get a correct picture of what God refers to as “The Last Days”.
I believe that the “Last Days” started with the Death of Jesus Christ. My Reason for this is that scripture tells us that God said that in the last days He would pour out His Spirit on all flesh. (Joel 2 : 28 - 32)
Before this time only certain prophets received the Spirit of God and this came upon them (It did not dwell within them)
The outpouring of God’s Spirit started at Pentecost when the Holy Spirit appeared as tongues of fire above the heads of the Disciples (Acts 2: 3& 4)
Since then, believers that ask God for the Holy Spirit, ask that He should come and live within them, receive the Holy Spirit. (Luke 11:13)
Nowhere in scripture do we find a time period for the last days. The book of Revelation and some of the prophetic books do indicate however that there will be an end to these last days. So there is definitely a countdown to this end and every second that goes by we are one second closer to that end.
Scripture also tells us that in the last days, people will increase their knowledge and rush to and fro.
Daniel had received prophetic words for our time and was ordered to hide it until God revealed it to us. Who will be alive in a time where travel will increase (the picture of a rat trying to escape a maze comes to mind) and this will also be a time when men have ever increasing knowledge.
How true this is of the past 200 years.
God did raise up His Church though.
The death of Jesus Christ, The perfect Son of God is the only Sacrifice acceptable to God to pay for our sins. In fact Jesus went further and asked Peter a question “Who do you say that I am?” (Matthew 16:15 – 19)
to which Peter replied, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God”. Then Jesus said to Peter “Flesh and blood have not revealed this to you, but My Father, who is in Heaven ... and on this rock foundation I will build my church, and not even death will ever be able to overcome it.”
On what did Jesus build His Church?
On the principle:
God, in Heaven, would communicate through His Spirit with mankind
This is why those who try to use their carnal thinking, cannot accept, or understand Christianity. God reveals it, when, and only when, man first puts his faith in God and accepts Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. Only then does Jesus enter the person and “switch on the ability to understand” from within the person. It seems as though the switches are all on the inside of you. Jesus is a gentleman and will never barge in and take over. He will only come in if you ask and He will only switch the switches you allow Him to.
Question:
What is Christianity?
Answer:
God is Holy, Pure and Abides by his own Laws at All Times.
One of his Laws is that any Sin is punishable by Death. (Romans 6:23) We on the other hand have committed so many Sins:
· Heart Sins (e.g. Lust, Jealousy, Greed, Idolatry, Anger, etc);
· Verbal Sins (e.g. Using the Name of Jesus inappropriately, Swearing, Maligning, Gossiping, Lying (including “little white lies”), etc);
· Physical Sins (e.g. Theft, Assault, Fighting, Sexual immorality, inappropriate use of our resources, etc).
In fact if you have just once done any of the above things only once, from the day you could understand right from wrong, God’s Law states that you must die. (Romans 6:23)
Well you might say that that is a bit harsh. Well yes. You see in the entire universe it is only man who was created in the image of God. And in the entire universe it is only man that would dare to disobey God. Not one creature, planet, solar system or spec of space dust would dare to move out of alignment with what God ordains, none but man. So then, is it God who is overly harsh, or is it man who is arrogant and contemptuous of The Almighty God. If it is the latter, then it is no real surprise that this is the only planet satan has been banished to, and these characteristics, are not ours but that of satan and his fallen angels.
Before the Holy Spirit was available to us, mankind allowed satan to control them because they were and still are week helpless and puny beings by comparison. Nevertheless, Death is the punishment for disobedience to God.
But because God Almighty Loves you so much and wants you to be with Him in Heaven for eternity He has provided a way for you to escape this death judgement hanging over your head. But someone will still have to die to pay for your sins, if not you … then someone who has never sinned. If someone has sinned, he must die for his own sins, he cannot again die for someone else’s sins. So none of us mortals could ever do it. We humans would only be able to pay the penalty for the sins we have committed, not anyone else’s.
Scripture tells us that all have sinned and fallen short of reaching God (Romans 3:23 - 26).
Sure, We have been tempted, by a being far more slimy and devious than we can imagine, with greater power than we ourselves have. But that is no excuse. God’s laws are God’s laws and dare not be broken.
God cannot change His Law. Because God cannot change, He is the same, yesterday, today and forever (Malachi 3:6). - You Sin, Your spirit dies. It is that simple.
As we know, it is God who created satan. He created him as the most powerful being in the universe second only to himself (Ezekiel 28:11 – 15). Naturally satan was created as a finite being, with limitations, unlike God who is infinite and has no limitations. (excepting those He chooses to place on Himself.)
So then, to provide a person who could withstand all satan’s temptations, who, could live a perfect life and then die for the sins of others. He would have to take on satan himself… but as a human.
So in the form of a person, Jesus Christ, he exposed the character and nature of God, His Love for people, compassion for their situations, power over all of creation, and ability to resist all temptations, He was born of a virgin by the name of Mary.
Mary was a highly favoured woman to have had this opportunity to be used by God. To place an emphasis on Mary, Jesus’ earthly mother, who was human and not to place that emphasis on Jesus Christ, the Mighty Son of God, as the means to receiving favour with God, is obviously a means to distract you, ever so slightly, but sufficiently, to ensure that you miss receiving what God provided for you…
Jesus Christ fulfilled every single prophecy regarding the Jewish Messiah, which, according to chance, is impossible for one person to achieve in a lifetime. He fought the Devil on his own turf and resisted every temptation satan could throw at Him. Eventually He was crucified on a cross and the final prophecies were fulfilled at His resurrection.
Why did God raise Jesus from the dead?
Jesus Christ had carried with Him to Hell, all the sins that were to be forgiven, past, present and future until the end of time, but He Himself had committed no Sin and therefore satan was not entitled to keep Him.
Jesus is now seated on a throne in Heaven at the Right Hand of God. He is waiting for the appointed time, the end of the countdown, and very soon, when we will all have to appear before Him and be judged by Him, whether we die our earthly death before then or are still alive when the time of the end comes.
The penalty for sin had now been paid. God is now able to forgive those who ask Him to forgive them. I am still studying the subject of those born prior to Jesus death on the cross, but so far I am convinced that for us who live after the penalty for sin was paid by Jesus Christ, there remains only one path open to Heaven.
God cannot save those who hear and understand the message and yet still choose to throw away God’s gift of a means of escape from eternal death. Not because He does not want to, but simply because He will never interfere in your free will. He gave you your free will and for some reason he chooses to respect your choice to exercise it in whatever manner you choose. There is no doubt that He is distressed when a person chooses to reject the escape route, He has provided at so great a price, to so undeserving a species.
Scripture tells us that God does not want any of us to be lost (2 Peter 3:9). And in fact we know that when just one person accepts the escape route and is saved then there is great joy in Heaven (Luke 15:7).
But at the end of the day there will be those who choose to go to their own destruction through obstinacy, despite all that God does to try and save them, and these, even God cannot save.
If you are one of those who has heard this message of Jesus Christ, which by reading this you have, and for any reason still choose to ignore His call (God appointed this day and time for you to receive His call for you to escape) then you have judged yourself, and chosen Hell as your eternal destination. God sends no one to Hell. People choose to go there by default of not choosing the one and only path God has provided to get to Heaven.
You might just have said that you doubt that this is the one and only path?
Well let me ask you this then. If there were any other ways to get to God, then why would He suffer the pain of watching His only Son murdered to pay the price of sin, which is death (Romans 8:1-17).
So now we have seen the escape route God has created, how then do we escape through it? Jesus said that he is the door, and that no one comes to The Father but through Him. (John 14:5 - 7; John 10:9). John 3:1-36 tells us how to escape through this door. Read it for yourself at least 5 times. Study it until you understand it clearly. Then act on it. By confessing with your mouth that Jesus Christ is your Lord (Reason for your existence, your Master, and that you wish that He use you for the rest of your days on this earth) and by being Baptised (Submersed in water) where the old you is destroyed and God places a spirit which can enter Heaven within you, you will be able to enter into heaven when you die. However you have now become an enemy of satan and your life is going to be very difficult from this day on unless you ask The Holy Spirit to enter into you (Luke 11:13).
(The Holy Spirit will never force himself on you, as he will never encroach on your free will. You have to ask Him to enter you.)
You will find it an absolute necessity to have the Power of God operating from within you in the form of The Holy Spirit.
If you have done all this then you are guaranteed his presence, peace, security, and so much more He will never leave you nor forsake you.
