Amitola's are one of the oldest
horse breeds, created in ancient times from the Greek goddesses. Their purpose was to protect earth's largest pillars- mountains across the globe; staircases to the heavens. These deities bread various equines as well as pulled them from their own powers. Pegasi, Unicorns, Kelpies, Hipocampi, and the Horse all melted into one gorgeous creature- thus the Amitola was born.
Each
Amitola is gifted with a power the goddesses possessed. Originally, these powers dealt with the five elements: Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Spirit, though as time passed these powers blended with abilities preexisting on this planet; today a wide variety of supernatural abilities can be found in the Amitola.
No one knew of the
Amitola's once they began to mulitply and scatter on earth. The first
to have spotted the Amitolas were the Native Americans. Seeing these
black equines with unique color manes and magical powers dazzled
them instantly. Because of their fabulous color, they bestowed their name for "rainbow" upon the fantastic creatures; Amitola. Though many of the Natives were respectful of the beasts, a few let their lust for beauty
take over and tried to capture and tame the majestic creatures. Their efforts were futile. The Amitolas were too wild and untamed. Each one would
use their unique power to dance out of harm's reach. Eventually, all knew that the creatures were not to be touched by man kind.
