EAGLES AIM FOR REVENGE AND A SEMI FINAL SPOT

Table topping Bridlington visit EV for a Presidents Cup 2nd Round tie. The Eagles will be keen to extract some revenge for the 7-0 mauling handed out to them on their own turf by the Seasiders earlier in the season (a record breaking home defeat for Arnold Town) and will be looking to make progress to the semi final stage in a competition the Eagles last won way back in 1995.

LAW GOES TOP & SEVENTH CLEAN SHEET

The remarkable start to Tony Law's return to the Eagles continued yesterday as in just a few starts he is now suddenly the club's leading scorer this season with four goals to his name. Arnold played the ball around Eagle Valley in some style all afternoon and coupled with a rather shaky looking Rangers' defence, were good value for their 3-0 win which also notched up their league leading seventh clean sheet of the campaign.

Arnold St Marys ‘re-formed’as a new club in 1928 by our original Chairman, Mr Walter 'Kegga' Parr - Forced to change our name to Arnold FC by the Midland Counties League in order to gain entry in 1963 - Merged with 'bottom rec' side Arnold Kingswell in 1989 to become Arnold Town. In our 80th year (2008) we were happily restored to the club's original maroon and gold colours.
Arnold are finally bedding themselves in at our new Eagle Valley 'stadium' after being forcibly evicted from Gedling Road; the Club's home for more than 50 years on King George V playing fields specifically donated to the post War folk of Arnold for such a purpose.
But looking forward to the future it's ........INTO THE VALLEY.........C'mon the Arna!
