Okay, this is my angry subject. Well, actually not really but whatever. Good Charlotte is not Punk Rock. They are Pop. REAL PUNK is Black Flag, The Ramones, and the early Nirvana music.
All of you GC fans might now shout at me and give me bad e-mail about how they are not Punk, but that doesn't really bother me much or get me in a fix. What does is when people agree with me and say "yeah, they aren't Punk Rock." That is okay but it is when they add on "...of coarse, they never said they were, the media just created that image, so stop being a critic." Well, when someone first said that to me I was confused. But now I can prove you little goonies wrong (no offense later on when I regret calling you that).
The proof is this...GC DID SAY THEY WERE PUNK. And you GC crazy people should know that, it is right in thier music. In the song "The Young and Hopeless" they say, and I quote: "...these critics and these trust fund kids try to tell me what punk is but when I see them on the street they got nothing to say...".
So there it is, and just a note to the Good Charlotte band members..."I am being a critic (although I am definatly not a trust fund kid) and if I was alone and saw any of you on the street I would still come up to you and tell you that GOOD CHARLOTTE IS MOST CERTAINLY NOT PUNK." Now excuss me, I need to go listen to some death metal...
