4/19/08 Quick Update 2 Recent Music: Composed - Battlefront HDD Fanfarific Kicked in the Gonads Village Invasion, Apollo Justice Ace Attorney - Trucy's Theme - The Magic Girl, Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse - Stage 6 Demon Seed (MOD) (MOD MP3), Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin - Gaze Up at the Darkness, Mega Man Battle Network 5: Double Team Virus Busting -Battle Network 3 Style- (XG) (XG MP3), U.N. Squadron Project 4 Fortress Quartermaster Corps Ugh, wow, it's been over half a year and no update...real sorry about that. Fortunately, I have plenty of good news: 1.) New File Hosting - Everything's back up and running and hopefully this host will survive for more than 3 months... 2.) Recatagorized Music Page - Kind of the same, but now everything is catagorized by the system that they were made for. 3.) Plenty of new musics! - There's plenty of new stuff that I've done for over the past half year, so this late update has something to show for it. Honestly, I think updates may be a little more like this. I may just wait until I gather up a good number of music and then have a big update. In the meantime, you find most of my midis at VGMusic if you don't want to wait for me to update. Update: 6/8/08 - Got flash playlists back up to play all my mp3s. You can find one on the front page and one on the music page. If you like the mp3 that you're listening to, please download it rather than listen to it continually on the flash playlist as this will conserve my bandwidth. Thanks much. 8/5/07 Quick Update Recent Music: Mega Man ZX Advent - Mysterious Lab - Destiny (GM)/(MP3) Well, I've only got one sequence for you today, but I will have a composition up once the voting is done for a contest I'm in right now. I've made some digital audio for this sequence, and I think it sounds pretty decent, so take a listen. 'ats it. New Edit (12/22/07): It seems uploadingit.com is now no more, so I don't have a host for my mp3s. For the time being, if you would like to listen to an mp3 of any XG midis or digital audio, please just email me with the subject, mp3 request, or something of that nature. I'm sick of having to find new hosts, so this is what I'll be doing for while at least. 7/18/07 The New and Not-so-improved Site Recent Music: Arranged - The Legend of Zelda Series - Great Fairy Arrangement, Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin - Bloodlines Bequethed, Invitation of a Crazed Moon (GM)/ (XG)/(XG MP3), Gimmick! - Aporia, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters Cafeteria (XG)/(XG MP3) It's been a while again, and I haven't done so much. I really don't feel like saying a whole lot. Eh, I decided to change the site a bit. It still looks crappy, and I still used pre-made freewebs templates and backgrounds, but I was getting sick of the design and felt it needed a change. Finally, the XG version of "Invitation of a Crazed Moon" is exclusive to my site...ok, mostly because it sounds just like the GM version, but a little higher quality. I decided not to upload it to VGMusic because of this reason, and the fact that the majority of listeners probably don't have an XG synth. I guess that's it. I'll try to update a bit more frequently, but no promises. 4/15/07 An update!? Recent Music: Composed - New Tale, Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin - Iron Blue Intention (GM)/(MP3), Mega Man Star Force - Libra Balance Stage (GM)/(XG)/(XG MP3), The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap - File Select (GM)/(MP3) Well, it's been almost 3 months, and here's the piss-poor amount of work I've done. Unfortunately, I've become more busy and generally not motivated for music related stuff. Hopefully this summer will allow me to do music stuff again, but it's up in the air really. I've made mp3 versions of the Portrait of Ruin and Zelda songs and I think they sound pretty decent. Also, one new original I made for a contest. Hopefully the next update will be much sooner. Edit: It seems that the host for my NSF and MP3 files doesn't like the standard hotlinking. For every MP3 and NSF, you'll have to right click the link and save the song to your hard drive, at least until they get this thing worked out. Also, I've put the systems for each game that I sequence by the game's title. Why? Because I can. 1/28/07 Yet more music. Recent Music: Castlevania - Vampire Killer (NSF), Castlevania: Dracula X - Slash, Gyakuten Saiban 3 (Phoenix Wright 3) - Godot's Theme, Mega Man Battle Network 5: Double Team - Virus Busting -Mega Man Battle Network 1 Style- (XG)/(XG MP3), Mega Man ZX - Crisis Quite a few new ones up this time. For you GM users, this is your update, because most of these are purely GM. I was planning on getting an original up for this update, but I guess that will be for next time since it still isn't finished. I guess that's it for now. 1/1/07 New Stuff for the New Year Recent Music: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night - Rainbow Cemetary (XG), Composed - Newbie Blips (NSF), Mega Man ZX - Area J (GM)/(XG), The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - Boss Defeated (GM)/(XG) Sorry the site's been on a hiatus for a while. To be honest, I didn't have much to put on here until now. I haven't been in the mood for much music until recently, so hopefully updates will be more frequent. Anyway, my XG MIDIs unfortunately will not have recordings until the host I use is back up. That means that all my other mp3s are not working at the moment as far as I know. If you'd like mp3 recordings of them, just email me with the subject "XG Mp3s" and let me know which ones you want. Hopefully that will suffice until the host gets back up. You may notice the NSF file. I've recently tried a tracking program called FamiTracker, just to get used to other methods, and actually, I quite like tracking so far. It's more simple than I thought it would be. You may see more in the future... Edit: Scratch that. I've found a new host that gives me much more space. It does have bandwidth, but I get 50 Gigs a month so I don't think that's a factor at all. Don't email me about XG MP3s unless the host is down for some reason. 11/2/06 Rather Quick Update Recent Music: Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon Festival Temple C (XG)/(XG MP3), Rockman EXE 4.5 Real Operation Title Screen (GM)/(XG)/(XG MP3), Tournament Battle (GM)/(XG)/(XG MP3) Somehow, I managed to update in half a month, which is very surprising. Still no originals, but hopefully I'll get one up soon, as well as some digital audio hopefully. Guess that's it for now. 10/14/06 No Midis... Recent Music: Mega Man Battle Network 5 Double Team Virus Busting -Rockman 4.5 Style- (MP3) ...but I do have a new digital audio mp3 up. I decided to mess around with some soundfonts that I acquired and this is the result. Not too bad, but of course, I need to vastly improve. Eh, I've got some actual MIDI sequences and a composition in the works, so hopefully I'll get those out sometime soon. As usual though, it could be quite some time, so don't wait up for it. 9/24/06 Dead? No! Recent Music: Composition - Vast Internet (Digital Audio MP3), Mega Man Battle Network 5 A Total War (GM)/(XG)/(XG MP3) Yep, it's been a while and I have one measly song to show, but honestly, I've been pretty busy. The whole music thing will probably be slow for a while because I have many things on my plate that are much more important than sequencing/composing. To top it off, I'm also starting up a Short Clip contest at VGMusic, which I'm sure will take up at least some time. So, uh, don't hold up for another update for quite a while. Edit: I've been dabbling in digital audio type stuff for a while now, and so I've decided to arrange my composition, Vast Internet, into an audio format. Eh, I'm still getting used to the whole thing, so it's definitely not the greatest sounding song, but I think some of the samples sound much better than an XG instrument. 9/8/06 New Title... Recent Midi: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trial (XG)/(MP3) Alrighty, here's another one up, and it didn't take me near as long to update this time. I've got an original in the works, and I've been convinced that I need to finish it soon, very soon, so you should see that up in the near future. Also, I've got yet another composer/sequencer affiliate. Welcome, Blitz Lunar, a very talented musician. Check out his site, Iridescent Media. 8/30/06 A midi for my birthday!!! Recent Midi: Castlevania: Dracula X Stage 3 - "Bloody Tears" ...Ok, so it's actually a day after my birthday. I've really been trying to get midis done, but as you may or may not have guessed, school has started back up, and it's cutting into my time a lot. I've got weekends full so that leaves hardly anytime for sequencing or anything. I decided to try to get one done by the time my birthday rolled around, but to no avail obviously. Eh, I guess that's basically it. Also, I've decided to hotlink the recent midis whenever I make a new entry so that you can access the newest midis right at the front page. 8/4/06 MMBN5 Almost Complete Recent Midis: Mega Man Battle Network 5 Nebula Grey Battle (GM)/(XG) Another MMBN5 song down, and this time I did the Nebula Grey theme since it seemed to be requested quite a bit. Eh, there's a few more I want to do and then I'll be done with it. I may leave out a few, just because I don't like some of the songs from this soundtrack, unless I'm requested to do them. 7/28/06 A Composition?! Recent Midis: Composed - Vast Internet, Mega Man Battle Network 5 Numberman/Searchman's Stage (GM)/(XG) After what has been, no doubt, months, I've finally finished an original. After sequencing so many MMBN songs, I've decided to make my own version of an internet theme. It's not too shabby of a composition, I think. Edit: Another sequence down for the MMBN5 soundtrack, and I'm almost done with the thing finally. I've been asked to do the Nebula Gray battle a bunch of times, so that may be my next one. I guess that's it. 7/24/06 Blah Blah Blah Recent Midi: Mega Man Battle Network 6 Central Town (XG) I've got another Battle Network 6 XG midi up, so hopefully that will hold over for a little bit. I'll keep trying to update frequently, so check back every once in a while. Eh, I guess that's pretty much it. Also, I've decided not to make a GM version of the two Battle Network 6 songs unless requested, mostly cause I'm too lazy to change the patches, controllers, etc. 7/12/06 Happy Belated 4th of July! Recent Midis: Kirby's Block Ball Boss Battle, Mega Man Battle Network 5 SciLab Theme (GM)/(XG), Mega Man Battle Network 6 Title Screen (XG), The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap Palace of Winds Well, I've been gone for the past couple of weeks on some well deserved vacation so the sequencing was put on hold for a while. Still, I was able to manage four of them so maybe it can hold over for a bit. I think I'm done with all of my vacations, so I shouldn't be too busy and should be able to get midis out a little more frequently. Edit: Eh, I may make a GM version of the BN6 Title Screen song later, but I didn't have time at the moment. Also, I won't be doing a whole soundtrack of BN6 like I'm doing with the last one, but I may do a few from it. 6/23/06 What?! No Battle Network 5?? Recent Midis: Mario Kart 64 Frappe Snowland (XG), Mega Man Battle Network 5 Double Team Virus Busting -Rockman 4.5 Style- (XG) Updated: Most MMBN5 GM midis, and Mega Man 6 Centaur Man's Stage (Arranged). I kept my promise and sequenced something other than Battle Network 5. Both the midis are in XG, so non-XG users will have to listen to the mp3s. I have a few midis in the works, so I should have an update with even more stuff next time, but it may be a long wait as I will be gone for the next couple weeks. I've also updated most of the GM midis, so they should sound at least a bit better. Also, I completely changed the percussion in the Mega Man 6 midi because I really didn't like the way I had set it up. 6/6/06 Ooo, creepy. Recent Midis: Mega Man Battle Network 5 Napalmman/Tomahawkman's Stage (GM)/(XG) Sorry for the lack of updates. I haven't felt obliged to sequence or compose anything for the past few days, but I'll try to get better about it. Well guess what I've got up today; what a shock, another freakin MMBN5 midi. It's no secret that I'm getting very tired of the soundtrack, and I probably will not be promising to do any more full soundtracks for a long time. I guess that's it. The next update won't be up for a while as I will be on vacation in a few days. Hopefully I can get up something that isn't Battle Network related. 5/24/06 Another School Year Ends Recent Midis: Mega Man Battle Network 5 Hero Theme (GM)/(XG), Mega Man Battle Network 5: Double Team Hero Theme (XG) I told you the next update would be soon. Well school has finally come to a close which means I can have more time to do this stuff, although I do have vacations and stuff during the summer, so sequencing won't be super frequent, but at least it'll be better than when I was in school. A while back, someone requested that I make an midi of the Hero Theme from the DS version of MMBN5. So I decided to make both versions, even though they are kinda similar. It's only in XG, so if you don't have an XG synth, give the mp3 a listen. 5/18/06 Summer is Upon Us...Almost Recent Midis: Mega Man Battle Network 5 Knightman/Magnetman's Stage (GM)/(XG) Sorry about the long wait and lack of update. School is just about out for this year, so now I'll have more free time to do this stuff. Anyway, I've got one up to show, and after this weekend, updates should definitely be more frequent. Just assume that my composing/sequencing will pick back up on pace very soon. 4/23/06 LOLZZZZ Recent Midis: Mega Man Battle Network 5 Trial (GM)/(XG), Mega Man & Bass Ground Man's Stage (XG) Well, it's been over a week, but sadly, I only have two up for you guys. As I said, school will take up a bunch of time during these last few weeks, so midis may be scarce. On a side note, I've gotten into some different trackers and other software things, and I might possibly get some mp3's up of those. It depends if I really feel up to figuring them out. I guess that's it. 4/14/06 Insert Title Here Recent Midi: Mole Mania Level 4 It turns out that I had much free time this weekend, so I've got one up for you, and maybe one or two more this weekend if everything goes as planned. That's all I have to say. How boring, huh? 4/10/06 'Bout Time Recent Midis: Mega Man Battle Network 5 Oran Island (GM)/(XG) - Breath of Fire III These Little Things (XG) - Compositions: RPG Cabin - RPG Character Death - Space Battle Alright, I know I've been a slacker lately. I've actually had time to update the site a lot, but I decided that since it was so late, I might as well have something to show for it. So I've gotten 6 midis done that should hold over for a while. I'll try not to get so bad about updating the site next time, but school only has about a month and a half left, so I may be swamped with last minute school stuff. 3/16/06 Updates, MP3s, and Affiliate Updated: Most XG midis. New Affiliate: Music Sharped Site Addition: MP3 recordings of XG midis. Recent Midis: Mega Man Battle Network 5 ACDC Town (GM)/(XG) Finally, you people without an XG synth are screwed no longer. I am now able to host mp3 recordings of my XG midis, so you can listen to those now. As an added bonus, I decided to update almost all of my XG midis. Some are only a tad updated, while others got a pretty large overhaul, the MMBN5 ones most notably. So, as you may have already guessed, I will upload mp3 recordings along with any XG midis I sequence/compose in the future. Also, a new affiliate has been added. VGMusic member Mark and his site Music Sharped. It's got a bunch of great stuff so I would highly suggest that you check it out. Also got another MMBN5 song done. Of course, it's got the XG recording along with it so you can listen to that. 3/8/06 WTH?! In 3 Days? On a School Night?! Recent Midi: Mega Man: Powered Up Time Man's Stage (XG) I know, I know. What the crap is wrong with me? 3 days, not so hard to understand, but when freakin school is going on, that's a definite rarity. I've managed to find some time in my busy schedule to make an midi, mostly because I felt bad for being such a slacker lately, but also but this song is really great. The new soundtrack is awesome and as soon as I heard this song, I knew I wanted to sequence it. Hopefully this is a sign of what's to come. Maybe I'll be sequencing/composing more frequently; maybe it's just crazy talk. Also, good news. I think I may have found a host that I can serve mp3s of my XG midis for. At the moment, the bandwidth is unlimited, but according to the site, it may change if things get out of hand, so if at all possible, please download the mp3s sparingly or save them to your hard drive so you can listen to them without taking any bandwidth. They should be up within the next few days. 3/5/06 Blank Recent Midi: Journey to Silius Level 1 Well, I've been sick for quite a while, so up until recently, I haven't had the time, will, or strength to do pretty much anything. Now that I'm over this illness, I should be able to pick it back up and make up for some lost time. 2/18/06 Uhh.... Recent Midis: Mega Man Battle Network 5 Navi Customizer (GM)/(XG) Ok, I've got another MMBN5 song done. I'm a bit sick of sequencing, so I think I'll try composing again soon. Of course, I say that, but I may just end up sequencing something else, heh. Until next time... 2/12/06 Another Freakin' Sequence Recent Midis: Mega Man Battle Network 5 Enemy Deleted (GM)/(XG) I took some time to make this short sequence. Granted, it's very short, but this and the FF7 midi I just did a few days ago should hold over until next week or so. I guess that's about it. Ciao. 2/10/06 One Freakin' Sequence. Recent Midi: Final Fantasy VII Cosmo Canyon I've been kinda busy with my normal life that music hasn't really been much of an option. I will say that I'm working on an original that I will actually go through with probably, so that will be done in...well, when it's done. I guess that's about it. I'll try to get a bigger update next time. 1/29/06 No, I'm not dead. Recent Midis: Mega Man Battle Network 5 Boss Battle (GM)/(XG) Zelda: The Minish Cap Minish Woods Okay, I've finally sequenced another midi. It's been a couple of weeks, but I've been a bit busy with school work lately. I now know how to use sysex to change some patches on the MSGS set, so I have updated a few of my songs to use this. I'm also re-uploading every midi because I have made some small changes to most of them. Hopefully they should all be uploaded by the end of the day. Also decided to make a simple sequence of Minish Woods. Very easy song to do, but I like it. Edit: Alrighty, they're all uploaded now. Sysex has been used in many of them, but the biggest update is the Mega Man 8 Select Screen midi. It sounds much more accurate now. One last thing. I've changed my email over to Gmail, so you can find the address in the about me section, or at the bottom of the page. I will be keeping my old one for various reasons, but please use this one to contact me. 1/14/06 Some More Mega Man Recent Midi: Mega Man V (GB) Jet Stage (XG) Alrighty, new arrangement. This one for sure is going to be XG exclusive. I finally used brightness which I should have done long ago but whatever, and apparently, it doesn't work in GM. So you'll have to have an XG synth to listen to this one. Edit: I've decided to delete my WIP section, because it was badly outdated, and I haven't worked on the midis for months now. So, yeah... On another side note, another affiliate has been added to my site. Welcome Jarel Jones and his great site of music and projects. Check it out. 1/7/06 Piling up on XG midis. Recent Midis: Mega Man 8 Astro Man's Stage (GM)/(XG) New one for the weekend. My XG collection is starting to pile up a bit. It's just got so many perks. Anyway, no GM counter part for this song, so if you don't have an XG synth, your kinda screwed. Maybe I'll make a GM version, but right now, I really don't see the need to. Once I pile up enough XG midis, I'll start looking for another host so that everyone can hear the XG songs as mp3s. But for now, I'm doing fine. Anyway, enough rambling. Edit: Ok, I lied. I created a GM version for Astro Man's Stage. It seems that the transfer to GM was really easy. The XG version actually sounded decent on a GM synth. It just needed a few volume alterations and a couple patch changes. 1/4/06 A new year, a new start. Recent Midis: Mega Man Battle Network 5 Virus Busting (GM)/(XG) Well I guess this is kind of shorty after Christmas, right? No? Alright, I admit it. I've been slacking a bit. I'll try to get better about though. In any case, hear's another song from MMBN5. School has started up again, so as always, midis will be a bit on the scarce side. I'll do the best I can. 12/23/05 Christmas is almost upon us. Recent Midi: Mole Mania - Levels 2 & 6 I've gotten out of school for winter break and I thought I'd have more time to sequence. Well I was wrong. It seems that I have more to do than I do during the school year. In any case, I was able to manage one arrangement. I do have one or two songs that I'm sequencing right now, so maybe I'll get those in shortly after Christmas Day. 12/16/05 Can't think of a header. Recent Midis: Mega Man Battle Network 5 - Colonel/Protoman's Stage (GM)/(XG) Got another MMBN5 song done and it took probably 2 hours longer than usual for some reason. Had problems with some of the pitch bending. In any case, just another song to add to the soundtrack. I get out of school on Monday, so I should be able to get a lot of midis done during the break. 12/14/05 Even more MMBN5 XG's. Recent Midis: Mega Man Battle Network 5 - Indoors Theme (XG), Liberate Mission (XG), Nebula Theme (XG) Not a whole lot of new stuff I guess, but I'm just trying to get a jump start on my GM/XG soundtrack of MMBN5. Hopefully I'll have some new stuff on the weekend but this'll have to do for now. Edit: Well I've updated the link to Swordbolt's page now that he's changed hosts, so check it out. 12/10/05 Gotta love XG Recent Midis: Battletoads and Double Dragon - Stage 1 (GM)/(XG), Mega Man Battle Network 5 - Title Screen (XG) Got a new midi done from a completely different game. I actually love the B&DD soundtrack a lot, so I decided to give a try at it. Also decided to create an XG version of the Title Screen seeing as I'm trying to get a whole GM/XG soundtrack of MMBN5 done. Hopefully I can get on to some originals, as I am starting to get tired of doing sequences. 12/4/05 Harvest Moon (and MMBN5) To Start Off December Recent Midis: Harvest Moon Summer Theme, Mega Man Battle Network 5 - Crisis Theme (GM)/(XG) I know, I've been kind of dead for the past week or two. With Thanksgiving last week and the holidays rolling in, I get pretty occupied so updates may be scarce. Anyway, enjoy the Harvest Moon song that I've provided. Hopefully I can get one or two more midis in this week. Edit: It seems that I've also finished yet another MMBN5 song today in my little soundtrack deal. More to come in the near future hopefully. 11/20/05 More MMBN5 Love Recent Midis: Mega Man Battle Network 5 Internet Theme (GM)/(XG) Another midi from MMBN5 sequenced by yours truly. I finally utilized some of the XG capabilities, not to mention finally figuring out program changes, and I think the XG version sounds pretty good. Of course, I made a GM version once again for those who don't have XG. I've decided I'll probably be doing an on and off MMBN5 soundtrack thing. I'll just keep making them when I feel like it. 11/17/05 Meh, two more. Recent Midis: Composed - Concert Quartet, Mega Man Battle Network 5 Liberation Intro (GM)/(XG) Well, I guess the 10% won. Ah well, at least I got two midis in instead of one. Plus, I've recently acquired an XG softsynth from someone so now I'm able to make midis in XG as you can see. Eh, the concert midi is one of my worst comps I think, so I'll have to do some big touching up on it in the near future. Also, the competition's done, so I may or may not be making any compositions for a while. Edit: I've put up a GM version of the Liberation Intro for everyone who doesn't have an XG synth. Enjoy! 11/12/05 In teh Slums Recent Midi: Composed - Jungle Theme I created a Jungle theme for the same contest at VGMusic. I know it's pretty pitiful, but that's all I've made over a course of 9 days. Don't worry though, I have two songs that I'm really working on, plus another contest song that I'm working on that will be shown after results are shown. I can 90% guarantee that I'll have at least one midi up within the next day or two. Edit: Wow, I just noticed, I'm at fifty midis now...yay!? My goal is to at least get 100 done before a full year of sequencing, so I've got about 5 months to do it. 11/2/05 Start November off with 2 midis. Recent Midis: Sword of Mana Seeking the Holy Sword, Composed - RPG Town I actually created the RPG Town theme for a contest about a week ago so I couldn't show it until now. It's slightly unfinished, but I probably won't be working on it for a while so I'm going to count it as a finished midi. I sequenced the Mana midi today, and although it's not an arrangement like many of my sequences as of late, it is still fairly accurate. 10/22/05 Back Into It...temporarily. Recent Midi: Kirby's Block Ball Level 1 2 midis in two days. I know, I'm shocked at it myself. In any case, that'll probably be the last one until next weekend. I really need a break from school. Oh, by the way, I now have two affiliates. Definitely check them both out because they are amazing sequencers/composers. I now have a new affiliate, Cyril's Mad Midis. Check him out as well. His compositions are great. Edit: Two new affiliates. Welcome Horn and Jace. Both are VGMusic sequencers and composers. Horn has lots of great midis from little known games and also very good compositions. Jace has a bunch of great midis too and his midis are very high quality. Check 'em out. 10/21/05 ....Why Bother?! Recent Midi: Mega Man Battle Network 5 Title Screen My father had his computer with him on a trip so I was unable to make any midis the whole week. Anyway, a couple days ago I downloaded GIMP so I'm going to attempt to create a better template and affiliate button. Hopefully it'll work. 10/12/05 A new midi...sort of. Recent Midi: Mega Man 6 Centaur Man's Stage (Arranged) Ok, so technically it's not a new midi. Usually I would just call this an update but it's really not. I recreated the whole midi without using a single note from the old version. So I am going to keep the old one up, even though it is sort of crappy. As you can tell, I've been a bit of a slacker lately. The first quarter of school is coming to an end, and that's when the teacher's go insane and start to give you a bunch of homework. I am in a VGMusic contest though, so a new midi is bound to come up soon. 10/1/05 Screw Headings Recent Midi: Mario And Luigi: Superstar Saga Gwarhar Lagoon Finished another one this weekend. I should be able to make one or two a week if everything goes as planned. Not much to say. Um I still need affiliates but I guess that's it. 9/27/05 One midi...wait what? Recent Midi: Final Fantasy VII Parochial Town Well seeing as I got nothing done this weekend, I felt like I should make up for it so I made an midi on a weekday which is definitely a rarity. No arrangement this time though, just not enough time. Maybe I'll try to arrange it later but not right now. Hopefully this'll hold over for a week or two. 9/18/05 Holy crap...a new midi!? Recent Midi: Kirby: Nightmare In Dreamland Yogurt Yard I actually got an midi done in a day. This weekend I had barely any homework which meant a lot more free time, so I arranged this. I think it sounds pretty decent and I'm happy with it. Be content with the latest two midis though, as they will probably be the last two you will see for at least a week. 9/17/05 FINALLY....A new midi Recent Midi: Composed - Possession of a Punk I finally got my composed song done. It took a lot of work and I probably put a lot of hours into it but it's finally done. It's my biggest midi yet, weighing in at a pretty large 113 kb and it's definitely one of the best if not THE best of my midis. I hope you enjoy. 9/16/05 Nope...still nothing new. Updated Midi: Composed - Possession of a Punk I still haven't made a new midi unfortunately. The good news is that I'm practically done with this original. Just have to add a bit more background and the fade out and I'll be done with it. I have hardly any homework this weekend so I may also be able to make a sequence finally. 9/13/05 Pitiful, not even one single midi. Updated Midi: Composed: Possession Of A Punk Yes, I'm disappointed in myself. Over two weeks and not even a single midi to show. The homework this year is insane! Add extra ciricular stuff to it and the day is practically done before it starts. In my spare time, I have found some time to work on my next original as you can see, and it's coming along real nicely. Tomorrow I'm not supposed to have homework, so maybe I can finally finish the original and say that I've finished an midi. This has been probably the longest period without making a single midi. Sorry guys, I really need to find some time to get some sequencing and composing in. 8/28/05 Over a week and only...1 midi. Recent Midi: Wario Land Super Mario Land 3 Rice Beach Course 3 Yup, it's sad, but school has already got a hold of me. Making midis is gonna slow down for a long, long time. At least I sequenced an midi which is one more than I thought I would. Hopefully, if homework dies down (doubtful) I can start making more than one a week. Until then though, that's about all I can handle. I think this song turned out pretty well, and I've added a lot more percussion then I do in most songs. I've created a guestbook as you can see on the right so go ahead and sign away. But uh, if I see any rude or disturbing posts then I'll have to delete them. 8/20/05 2 In A Day Recent Midis: Mega Man Battle Network 5 Indoors Theme, Composed - The Stealthy Rocker Well I don't usually get two done in a day. Of course, it did help that I had a lot of my composed song done. I finally made my first freakin composed midi, and I don't think it's too bad. I've asked for critiquing and stuff so maybe I can figure out what I need to do better next time. The indoors theme took me about an hour or two so that was easy. 8/19/05 School Sucks Recent Midi: Mega Man Battle Network 5 Nebula Theme School started back up yesterday, and it shows in the recent lack of updates. I've had more than a week and yet I still only got one midi done. Ah the perks of school . This year is gonna be tough and I can't bear to think about homework once again. Enough of me whining though. Hopefully I can get some midis done this weekend so I can sort of catch up at least. I've been working on an original, and I think I'm actually gonna finish it this time. 8/11/05 Updates Slowing Recent Midi: Mega Man Battle Network 5 Liberate Mission Unfortunately, school is coming back all too soon again and that means the midi count will go way down (even further down than it already is). I'm going into my Sophmore year in high school, and it's gonna suck even worse than Freshman year. Oh well, I guess that's how it goes unfortunately. Anyway, I've been working on this midi for probably 2 hours yesterday and a few today and I finally got it done. I think it sounds pretty close to the original, but maybe that's just my opinion. 8/8/05 Vacations are officially over Recent Midis: Donkey Kong Country 2 Bonus Game Intro, Kirby's Dream Land 2 Dark Castle I'm finally done with vacations for the summer which kinda sucks cause it means I have to go back to school in just about a week or two. Anyways, I actually got done with sequences on my vacation which was kind of a shock to me because I didn't think I'd have any time to. I'm thinking about putting off the Stage Select remixes until later because I really don't wanna feel like I'm bound to making them. About my new midis, I really don't think that the DKC2 song is that special. I didn't really put a whole lot of effort into it, so it sounds kinda bland. My Kirby's Dream Land 2 midi is by far the biggest midi in file size, and I think that it may be one of my best midis and I'm really happy with it. 7/28/2005 No New Select Screens Recent Midi: Mega Man X3 Vile's Theme Needless to say, I'm getting kind of bored with the select screen themes. I'm still going to do them, but it looks like I won't be able to get them done until after my trip which ends on the um.... sometime at the end of next week. Because I was bored with the select screen songs, I searched around on Winamp and decided to do Vile's Theme. I think it went pretty well. Because it was so easy, it only took me like an hour and a half to make it. The only part of the song that I arranged is that I added in some hi-hat stuff so it's pretty true to the original. Right now, I'm toying with pitch bends on the drum set (yep I'm a little behind). I've updated the Metal Man theme which has this pitch bend. I think that it sounds good, but it makes the drums really quiet for some reason. I may just put back up the old version if it annoys me enough. I've also updated the Crash Man's theme on the WIP list. I think this song will have one of the greatest sounding drum sets, if all goes as planned at least. I've found out that VGMusic will be opening the upload script again on the 2nd of August which kinda sucks cause I'll be on vacation. Oh well, I'll just be a little late. 7/25/2005 Just Two More Left Recent Midis: Mega Man 6 Select Screen (Remix), Mega Man 7 Select Screen I got the Mega Man 6 Select Screen song up like I said I would. I tried to think of something new I could do to the song so I was listening to some other songs, and when I heard the Kotobuki Town song from Mega Man Battle Network 2, I thought that the beginning of it would be perfect to tie in with the song. So just so that you know, the synth brass track is the Kotobuki Town song. I also added some guitar and synth bass just to spice it up and of course, a revamped percussion. Anyway, I think I'm gonna try to fix up the Mega Man & Bass Select Screen next. Because it doesn't already have a file on VGMusic, I've decided to make one version that is a sequence of the real thing, and one that is a remix. After that I'll tackle the Mega Man 7 one and I'll finally be finished. I need to hurry though cause I wanna get it done before this Friday when I leave. Edit: Well, I was going to just make a remix of the Mega Man 7 Select Screen, but I found out that there wasn't really too many files of this midi, so I decided to make the original first, and I will make a remix of it later. I think it sounds pretty close to the original. It also makes remixing much easier, as all I have to do now is revamp the drums again and think of some little extras to put in it. 7/16/05 Another One Bites The Dust Recent Midi: Mega Man 5 Select Screen (Remix) Yep. One more down, 3 to go. I am getting through these so fast, it's kinda depressing. I have been thinking about other things I want to do after I finish these songs so at least I have some options. I may get another midi up tonight but that is a big maybe. Anyway, I like this midi, and tried something new with it, but I still feel like it could use some work. Oh well, maybe some other time. Edit: Well some good news. I think I may have found a site that I can hold more music on. Although I still would use freewebs, I could link all my midis to that site. It lets me use 10 megs for download so that should be plenty. I won't be using it for a while though since I really don't need it yet. 2nd Edit: I've decided to rename all the Select Screen songs to remixes, as they have much added on to them. 7/15/05 Sadly, WIPs are taken down. Recent Midis: Mega Man 1 Select Screen (Remix), Mega Man 4 Select Screen (Remix) Well it appears that with the free version of Freewebs, you can only hold 50 files unless you pay for a different service, so I had to delete all the WIPs to hold my fiinished midis. Luckily, it doesn't effect the site too much right now, but as I sequence more and more midis, I may have a problem. I'll either have to pay for those plans, or I'll have to try and find a different free server that lets me save more files and hopefully will let me hotlink to the midis, rather than having to type out the whole stupid link. Another problem is that with the free plan, you can only have 7 paragraphs per page, so it looks like I have to have an archive now which you can see on the navbar. On the good side of things for today, I have created yet another new midi. Guess what it is? Yep, another Stage Select theme from Mega Man. I've decided to do remixes of the Stage Select theme for eight (I'm including Mega Man & Bass and excluding the Game Boy series and Mega Man 8 because I already did it months ago) of the original Mega Man games. It may take a while as it seems that I am going up on another vacation this monday for about a week, then another vacation the week right after. After that, school will almost be starting up again so it'll be hectic. But I'll try to do them as fast as I can. Finally, on a comment about my newest midi, I'm pleased with this one. It took me hardly any time at all, but I did add new sounds such as arranged percussion, echoes, new piano and square pad tracks, etc. Edit: Well, it seems that I have also completed the midi for the select screen on Mega Man 1 in my little marathon. This one took me hardly anytime because there's really not a whole lot I could do with it so I did as much as I could. It's probably the most boring of the Select Screen themes but, I said I would do it, and I did. 7/14/05 Back In Sequencing Mode! Recent Midi: Mega Man 3 Select Screen (Remix) A new sequence done. I feel like I'm getting back into the roll of things. I'm starting to feel really motivated to sequence midis again. Even though this one took me only about an hour, it's still a new one and I'm pretty happy with it. Anyways, I'll try to finish off a WIP tomorrow. Of course, I say that, but I'll probably end up doing a new one. VGMusic's upload section still isn't open and I'm ready to unload my whopping 6 or so midis (yep, I'm lazy). 7/13/2005 One more WIP off the chart. Recent Midi: Mega Man 2 Metal Man's Stage I finally got done with another WIP song. I think that it is one of my best sequences yet. I really like the outcome of it. Anyway, I don't know what's up with me and Mega Man 2. The soundtrack for that game is really awesome. I guess that's why I've sequenced a lot of my songs from it. Well I dunno what I'm gonna work on next. Maybe one of my Fire Emblem WIP's, or another MM2 song. 7/12/2005 Not much progression. Updated WIP: Mega Man 2 Metal Man's Stage Well, I really haven't done a whole lot in the past two days but that's how it works sometimes. Anyways, I was excited to find that VGMusic is starting to come around on transferring everything to the new server. They got the forums working again which is excellent, even though I just happened to be one of the .1 percent of people whose username was deleted off the forum list, so I had to register again. Luckily, I had hardly any posts so it doesn't really effect me much. Hopefully I'll have the Metal Man Stage midi up tomorrow. I wanna do something different so it may take some time. A lot of my other Mega Man songs are really bland and have only a few instruments, so I'm gonna try to see what I can do with more instruments, and maybe a new drum arrangement for it. 7/10/2005 Finally, a new midi. Recent Midi: Mega Man 2 Select Screen (Remix) Well, I finally made a new midi after what has been at least a week. I was on vacation and planned to do a little sequencing on the computer I was using, but it turns out that the computer is the slowest piece of crap ever. Plus, I wanted to relax so I really didn't put to much effort into it. Anyway, I was going to work on some WIP's, but I wasn't really very enthusiastic about it, so I listened to a bunch of songs on my playlist, and heard the select screen song on the Mega Man 2 NSF. I decided that the main song was too bland so I decided to basically remix it with drums. 6/29/2005 - One WIP Down Recent Midi: Mega Man Battle Network 4 Internet Theme Well I finally got one of my works in progress done. It took me about an hour or two because it kept messing up but I finally fixed it. 6/28/2005 First Post Recent Midis: Heh, all of 'em Well here's my first post. I just made a livejournal site yesterday so if your looking at this site (highly doubtful), you should check it out too. Right now I have a bunch of midi's that I have been working on but haven't really worked on them for probably a month. So a lot of them I'm going to start back up on and get them finished with. Today though, I'm working on an MMBN5 song because I told someone on the vgmusic boards that I would so hopefully I can get it finished by tonight or tomorrow. I'm also working on another Fire Emblem song that I also said I would make. Other than that, not much is going on right now. I'll try to upload some midi's as soon as I can but the laptop with all the music on it isn't here so I'll just have to wait.
