| Hello Everybody! |
The Coffee House is a website to front the Coffee House Forums, which you can get a link to on your left.
The Coffee House is where writers of all ages can post writings of all genres (poetry, fiction, nonfiction, songs, et cetera) and share them amongst other writers they can relate to. Fr more information, visit the About House pageThe website is mainly for posting contest winners, as of now. Surely some time soon we'll have more thigns for you to do here.
This website is run by Briana B., along with Kaylynne, who runs the forums. the forums are not yet up and running, but they will be soon
We hope you enjoy your stay. Either bring in a friend or stay and sit back with a latte! |
| A Few Updates |
Hey, everyone. The site hasn't been updated in a while, but then again, very few people have noticed. We haven't gotten too many hits. If you've seen this site or the fourms go ahead and send the link to your friends! If they're not interested in writing or illustrations yet, I'm sure they will be.
The Coffee House Forums are up and running. Kaylynne did an excellent job on the layout. Go check it out if you haven't already!
Sorry about the inactivity. I've been preoccupied with things (school starting, keeping up with some other sites, retrieving lost addresses, etc.) and Kaylynne has moved recently. She doesn't have her own computer with internet access at the moment, so let's all take a moment silence for her. Some good friends of ours have helped out though, and you can see them on the Forums.
Also, the contests on the forums will probably start on the first of November or December. By Christmas I should have my own computer, because at the moment I'm having to stretch internet time at my father's house since my mother's computer is broken. In a few months Kaylynne will have her computer again, too, so it may be a short while before this thing gets pumped up.
That's all for now. Stay tuned! ~_^ |
| First Contest Coming! |
Hey, everyone. Briana here, yet again. First I'd like to say that we have an ALMOST definite date for when Kaylynne has full-time Internet access. In about three or four months she'll be moving into a permanent home in Nevada, with her own computer and AOL. Soon you'll have both of us to update and add things, so maybe this thing will run by smoother.
Second of all, I'm planning for the first contest to begin on Octber 1st. Submit any works to either the Website Contest section or under the genre it belongs to, specifying whether or not it is to be entered in the contest. We can't count you in the run unless you tell us if you're submitting! The deadline will be the 27th of October, giving us enough time to contact the writers or artists and post them up on the site. We have about six members, and so far only three have been regularly posting. Remember, if you know anyone who'll be interested, tell them about us! But we don't encourage spam, okay people? Have to keep it legal here.
No posts have been made by the CoffeeHouseAdmin because... well, it's kind of embarrassing. Not too much, though. I lost the password to the CoffeeHouseAdmin, and it's not sending me an email for the password. I have to wait for Kaylynne to send me the password, and that's taking an awful long while. As soon as she gets back to me I'll be posting rules and regulations as well as other notifications, okay?
Remember to start posting poetry you'd like to submit in the contest early so that you have a better chance! |
| Updates - 12/25/04 - Briana |
A VERY Happy Holiday to all of you! With the New Year come new changes to the forums, and though they're not very big, they're rather important. The organization has been changed, with Poetry and Lyrics in it's own catergory, and boards for the different types of Poetry and Lyrics. If you haven't visited the main site before comign here, you will not need to fret over any poems previously posted. That board has been moved into the new catergory, and hasn't changed. There's no need to post there anymore, but I suppose if you REALLY wished to, you could. We've provided a Miscellanious section, though, for that purpose.
All members have been emailed with the alert of the DECEMBER IN JULY Contest going on at this time. If you have joined since then or haven't joined yet, please visit the Website Contests and find the memo regarding this contest.
On another matter, I'm very, very excited today. See, I just got a Mp3 player, a Harry Potter DVD, and a $50 gift card to Hot Topic. I'm one happy person indeed. That's why the whole time I've written this I've sounded british inside my head. Did it leak through the to page? Ah, well, I won't bother with finding it.
"Happy Christmahannukwanzakah to you!"
