| The Well started out as an extension of the High School Youth Group ministry and consisted of a time of deep and meaningful praise and worship. This ministry was established and led by our former Youth Pastor Todd Skinner. When Todd was called away to Redding to lead a college age group, the ministry fell by the wayside.
Although The Well had ceased to function after Todd departed, the vision and purpose behind The Well was still, very much alive. The leadership within Neighborhood Church recognized this fact and The Well was resurrected as an alternative third worship service held each Saturday. Unfortunately however, this second attempt was characterized by limited success and ultimately fell short of becoming an effective ministry. Does this mean that The Well has dried up? Not by a long shot. The vision and purpose behind The Well still remains, very much alive.
Thomas Edison successfully invented the light bulb after thousands of tries, we are praying and acting on faith that the third time is the charm. A ministry team consisting of about ten people has been brought together. Each member of this team shares in the vision of The Well and each one possesses the commitment and desire to be used by God to fulfill His purpose. |
