"The Fallen Leaves of My Lady" by Nemo-Outis
Love is a garden,
we each form its detail,
my love was a tree of resplendent beauty,
whos glory should have never failed.
With her auburn crown, swaying in the autumn wind,
she tied strong roots in my heart,
and grasping to her slender limbs she hoisted me into the air.
Seated upon her curved shoulder, I memorized that regal face,
commiting each line of perfection,
admiring the sparkle in her hair.
She alone remained so faire,
long after her sisters pride had spilt to the ground,
it crunching beneath my feet in a sea of yellow, and red.
She shone outside my window, glimmering like the dawn,
even in the ever darking nights, that worked to put the world to sleep,
but not my lady, she continued to fight.
And I had thought her immortal,
'til I woke one morn, after winters first flurry,
and found her leaves,
scattered like blush tears upon the cheek of the ground.
And I wept for my lady,
a blanket of white snow upon her balded head,
and in in desperate grief I gathered what leaves could be found.
And placing them gingerly upon my pillow, I continued to weep,
and I spent my tears crying,
over my Queen's broken crown.

we couldn't,
[not for a second], be
bothered by the air
around our sordid selves, the
chilling fall breeze,
the raindrop daggers
or the swirling paper
tornados.
it's three past seven,
an october eve, and i'm
bleeding for the first
time, as i tread past the old,
thin forest, too tired for even
the sleepiest of leaves.
while winter creeps upon
my limbs, hiding in my worn-out
windbreaker, i'm ready to shed
this of me, however prematurely,
however all-too-green.
in spite of chlorophyll, i
give into perpetual biology,
and how with each night,
subsequently colder, you plucked
some from me to watch me fall.
[bare by christmas, he asked, i
was sure, and those bits of me
lay dead on the ground. i'm frail
and fallen, as he leaves.]
shiver, but there's a distant
glimmer, of warmer days and
a bright new stage, and [save the
one you took up to run with you] the
fallen leaves rise and cover
me.

"Fallen Leaves" by angelaeryn
schwih-schwih
The evolution of leaves from green to gold
as they shift restlessly on the trees;
Whispering their tales as they grow old,
shuddering on the autumn breeze.
swish-swish
When at last these leaves let their branches go
and begin their lives’ one true journey;
Making their downward dance so slow,
graceful passion within burning.
skedh-skedh
So soon they reach their destination,
pillowed softly on dew-drenched grass;
But still the wanderlust inclination
makes time molasses-like pass.
schwih-schwih
A new gust lifts each one up again,
carrying it far away to someplace new;
looking back without tear nor grin
to the brethren leaves she once knew.
snih-snih
Thus each leaf bids farewell to mother tree
as she begins a life all her own;
And nothing does her matron see
but a tiny bud at last all grown.

Untitled by autumn-wind
The wind swirled up,
Sending her memories fleeting,
She lost them in a second,
Feeling the fragments disappearing.
The leaves rustled,
Reminiscing the day he picked up a fallen leaf,
Handing it to her,
With a smile of an angel.
Round the pivot in her world,
She could see her own life faltering,
Like the first time her gaze laid on him,
With the same serene look,
When she laid like a feather on the bed.
A mere look of above,
She could feel the presence of him,
He departed away,
Leaving everything for her to grieve,
Making her realize the past was melancholy.
Seasons by seasons were gone,
And after the fading of his heartbeat,
She felt hers going away,
To be in solace,
Accompanied by black and white pictures,
And the fall of pretty leaves.
She thought it was the golden rain,
When it fell upon her,
Just like a crash of light,
From the heavens above,
She knew he was there to take her away…

"Autumn Rising" by necromancerr
Autumn rising about the land
Leaves dying and drifting to the sand
Golden is the color of the trees
A shower of leaves carried on every breeze
The chill wind blowing from the North
Carrying the seasons on their course
The animals make up their stores
And make of the forest a thousand tours
Search for shelter from the coming of the night
To hide there and wait for the dying of the light
Birds on wing join the flock
To Southern shores of the dock
The deer turns to the safety of the herd
Where naught is spoken of the word
Of the changes that grace the land
Where leaves lie dying in the sand
Autumn rising about the land
Leaving all to understand
The prelude to Winter has begun
The seasons on course, do they run
Gentle wind through the grass
Turning brown, now its time has passed
The flower turns her face from the world
To escape the darkness to be unfurled
The coat of the bear grows so thick
To keep out the cold is the trick
Warmth sought as the sun pulls away
Escape the coldness of the coming days
All things bow to the order of things
And at the last the last bird sings
Of the changes that cover the land
As leaves lie dying in the sand
Autumn rising about the land
Turns bends its thoughts towards man
To chase him further into his homes
To lay the seasons down in his tomes
Wood cut and ready for the fire
To stay the night by the warmth of the pyre
Crops long taken provide the way
For many to survive the coming Winter days
Man learns to bow down to time
And concerns himself with saving his line
To bring shelter against the wind
And so to the fire will he tend
All these things come into being
As man stands back and wonders at what he is seeing
At the change is the land
As the leaves lie dead in the sand
Honorable Mention
"Silhouette" by SorrowBurn
Autumn's chill seeps through the branches.
Shivering, the cool breeze,
Alone, walking in autumn twighlight.
The single silhouette,
Masqued by the heavy breath,
Hanging before him.
Sighs hiding his face,
Lonesome and fading,
Like the life before him.
In autumn all falls down.
In autumn all dies.
Life is waining awaiting the sleep.
Fallen leaves lining the frozen ground.

"Fallen leafs" by ic-lufie-pe
The thing I know bout fallen leafs
Is that one day they fall and so must leave
In one leaf I trust’d my heart
And then it fell and so did part
I trusted all my dreams to one
So foolish I and so they’re gone
Leafs so fragile that when they fall
They risk there whole there life there all
This leaf had dropped as harsh winds blew
But so it must as all leafs do
Resurrect can we this leaf?
Or will it go and my dreams keep
For I know that even know
With dreams in tow and misshaped brow
I will trust my all and dream with windswept,
Broken fallen leafs
Untitled by sorrowburnt
Of all the wishes I have
Of all them that are heaviest on my back
The one which is the sharpest lash
The deepest scar, most painful mark
The memory when i held you hand for the last time
In the faint circle of the nightlight
Besides your house,watching you,so silent
Stuttering words so different
From those I wanted to say
My eyes hiding from yours...
Because i knew they would betray (me)
And I would still be yours
I wish I could go back
Choke those words
And say the ones I had tought
And not let your hand go
As I did that night
Besides the fallen leaves
Untitled by laconic-duo
I danced with you
under a sky of falling leaves
golden stars that litter the earth
a sight that shows
just how fragile life can be.
Do you think she cries?
when they fall from her side
gracefully floating
through the sky
dancing with each other
as the fly
untill her branches
are as emty as the sky.
Does she notice
fallen leaves
as they carpet the floor
in the're hues of golden red
crunching as we dance
under a sky of falling leaves.
"Fallen Leaves" by Metaleath
It's getting colder again,
as feeling the wind breeze
I want to freeze again.
Seeing fallen leaves
with different kind of colours of leaves
as autumn arrives to change
the colour of summer
When others are tired,
I welcome fallen leaves with open arms!
It's the mark of winter is coming
as fallen leaves are on ground
and flies around.
Untitled by Ocalikecoca
Leaves of my dreams
Nothing what it seems
Falling on my heart
All broken apart.
Autumn deep inside
Everything will hide
Under the ice of real,
There is no spring of heal.
Winter all around
Cold truth abound,
My sun of hope
I need my dope.
"Decrepit Mural" by dieinfaith
Sleep and death, only poets confuse the two
Rested beneath the autumn trees,
As the leaves fall to the ground.
A painting of the beauty of the world.
A depiction of wilting.
Then comes winter, the season of death.
The planet protected by the decaying fallen leaves.
So the dead protect the living,
And the living live on to die.
"Fallen Leaves of Bryophyllum" by deathrages
You left your home my child,
abandoning your sanctury,
for the ground so dark,
awaiting your doom.
But you are different,
from other's off springs.
You shall not be forgotten,
but remembered as history.
Roots of abyssmal depth,
Stems of heaven height,
You live once again,
Like me, your Mother.
Yet those others lay dead,
they rot and became wisps.
We revived them again,
As part of us they remain.
No longer my child,
now you are my companion.
Sharing light and space,
competing water and soil.
You shall create,
your own family tree,
adding a new chapter,
in the forest history.
