This page is pretty much me fooling around with ideas. You'll see videos, lists, and more that I've created in order to gain inspiration. I hope you enjoy it.
Originally, I was going to provide the music I use for you to listen to. But then I realized that this would be defying copyright law......so instead I have listed them here. If you have a chance, maybe you'd like to check some out. This would be my ideal Elf Girl soundtrack.
1. Forever (Idina Menzel). This song is so soft and beautiful. It sets a great scene....I'd also include Brave which is another song by Idina that I adore.
2. Look Through My Eyes (Everlife) This song is all about knowing that everything is going to be ok, and that you can find happiness. It's amazing, and it suits the purpose of the Elf Girl. This is probably the song I'd role during the credits if the Elf Girl turned into a movie.
3. Love Me Like The World Is Ending (Ben Lee) This is the song I'd probably play after Jasmine admits she's an elf and Jasmine is thinking about it. She'll hate him on the ouside because he now despises her, but on the inside she knows that all she wants is to be loved and accepted by Rick for who she is.
4. Bubbly (Colbie Caillat) This is what I'd play when Jasmine has kissed Rick for the first time. It describes exactly how I want her to feel....lightheaded and beautiful....love.
5. Extraordinary (Mandy Moore) I don't know what it is about this song. I just think it's exactly what Jasmine wants. She wants to be extraordinary and she doesn't want to be brought down.
6. Stars (Switchfoot) This song may be rock, but it has a very pretty message. Listen to the lyrics. The singer is doubting himself in the first verse and then says, "But when I look stars, when I look at the stars, I see someone else. I feel like myself". If he followes his dreams and keeps dreaming, he can be himself and stop doubting.
7. Lessons Learned (Carrie Underwood) This song is about how even though everybody has hard times in life, but in the end that comes with crucial life lessons. It's a great match for my story.
8. I'm Gonna Blow Your Mind (Carly Hennesy) This song...hmmmm....I don't why I just think it matches. The beat is just pretty but powerful at the same time...kinda like Jasmine.
9. Imagine (John Lennon) I don't think I really have to say anyhting for this one. Everyone knows how lovely and meaningful this song is, and what it represents. I don't think an Elf Girl soundtrack would be whole without this song.
