| I mentioned this in the post below about the DVD release parties. I found a car with Twilight stuff all over it. In the end, I only got one picture of it (taken on my phone). Not only did they have Twilight written on the car, in the windows they had pictures of the characters. On the hood and the trunk I think there were also pictures, but on the hood and trunk (and also elsewhere on the car) there were quotes from the movies. And they were the type of quotes like "You're like my own personal brand of heroin" and "Your scent is like a drug to me." or somethings of that extent. I found this so hysterical that I tried taking like five pictures (before my mom made me go into the release party), but only the one to the left actually had good enough pixel quality to be shown (the rest were completely blurry). -Kat, April 13 2009 |
I know Myn doesn't watch the movie, and I have no idea about Allina and Jemma, but I Kat, your webmistress, have not only watched the movie, but I decided to go to one of the DVD Release Parties.
Have no clue what I'm talking about? Until about twenty-four hours ago, neither did I.
One of my pretty sane Twillight fan friends told me about it. Now I loved the movie for two reasons, one Robert Pattinson who plays Edward once played Cedric in Harry Potter, and two Robert Pattinson hates Edward. So I just loved the movie...I'm not sure why. Either way, I decided to go to one of these.
Now realize that accounts like

Will give you a more in depth realization at what happened. I only went to a small one. It was funny, from everyone (including myself) in some Twilight jacket or shirt. And the girls that had been waiting in line for hours. Or the girls that were so impatient that they watched it on their laptop right after getting it.
Or the car I saw in the parking lot with the word "Twilight" written largely on the side of the car with stickers of the characters in the windows and quotes written everywhere over the car. It was obsessive.

The Most Popular Book in the Whole Wide World, by Xlormp
It is about a girl named Friggen' Gorgeous, Frig for short, who lives with a hobo and lusts after a space-alien-like being named Xlormp in the small town of Spatulas. She wants more than anything to become his girl-slave, but he denies her befuddlingly. Meanwhile, her friend Hector seems to be turning into a robot..
Best parody I've ever read. Ever.

In early '08, my friend Maggie became obsessed with a series called Twilight after reading the first book. I read her copy and sort of liked it. Then, when I sick (literally, not literaturely), I read New Moon and Eclipse and began noticing that the plot was leaking with holes.
My friends who read the series fell in love with it and went gaga over it. There wasn't a single person who agreed with me. So, for the time being, I thought I was insane and imagined Twilight being a horrible and unrealistic cliche.
During book club, when talking about Twilight, my friend Michael asked if anyone else thought Bella was jjust a little cliche (he was barely into the book). After realizing that I wasn't alone, I began this site so that other Anti's could congregate here along with the other two anti-sites that I know of. (TwilightSucks and The Poison Apple)
