Izu-Mito Sea Paradise is one of the 4 parks in Japan holding one
Orca in captivity. A companion for Asuka is still wanted, since Yamato,
a male, died on October 24, 2000. Asuka is performing daily and
accompanied by dolphins and other cetaceans. She is surrounded
by nets, which are usual at the park to keep marine mammals
captured.
