You walk, and walk. By noon, you have left the meadow and wandered into the forest. The canopy overhead is spotted and broken with shafts of sunlight that you gladly walk through. After a little ways, you find yourself in the perfect resting spot, cool and relaxing, with a wispy stream lazily drifting by. On the springy moss, you settle down and doze off into a slow slumber. Who knows how long later, you are in between rest an waking, resisting the tug of conciousness, when the sound of hooves splashing through water convince you to wake. A blueish gray and white unicorn trots across the stream and looks at you curiously.
"Hello." She says. "What brings you here?" "I, uh, well, I was taking a nap..." You murmur. She snorts and giggles, "Well, I can see that." You smile sleepily. "I am called Tlla'Ebun," the mare says her name in a entrancing accent. The sounds twist into your mind and take hold of your pleasure, making you smile. "Such a beatiful name," You say to her and tell her your own name. Tlla'Ebun smiles and says,"Thank you. Translated, it means Rust Tipped." She looks up at the sky and says, "I'm sorry, I must leave you. Do you know how to get out of the forest?" You shake your head, realizing how foolish you had been. She tells you and says a last goodbye, which you echo, and then she trots off through the brush. You walk through the forest, and the sounds of life fill you with contentment. In fact, you become so lost in a daydream, you nearly walk right into another unicorn. This one, a stallion, blinks at you. You mumble your apologies, and his stern gaze turns into a smile. "All is fine," he says, "I would stop and introduce myself, and talk with you a while, but I must get going..." With that, he winks and nods at the tree beside him. On it you see carved words. After examining it closely, you carry on your way.
You continue. You go back to the forest. The Valley |
