There are two lakes - with a total of 120 pegs
- well stocked with a wide variety of fish
to provide excellent all year round catching.
There is plenty of car parking a short distance from the water
and easy access for the disabled.
The fishery is situated just off the A299
within easy reach of London and the Medway towns.
The Old Lake
This lake is on your right hand side as you enter the Car Park. There are dipping tanks at each of the two entrances to the lake. As the name implies this is the first lake that was established at Lavender Farm. It is a steeply sided valley going down to a V at the bottom. The depth at the end nearest the car park is approximately 15' and the further end is shallower at approximately 6'. This lake has a total of 40 pegs, all with sturdy wooden platforms, and there are established reed beds providing good protection between the swims. The lake is well stocked, predominantly with Carp (Common, Ghost, Mirror and Crucian), but also Tench, Rudd, Roach and some Golden Orfe. There are some Carp in excess of 20lb and a large selection in the 5lb to 10lb range. The Tench go up to 5lb with plenty in the 1.5lb - 2.5lb range.
The best baits in the winter are maggot and worm. In the warmer months however sweetcorn, luncheon meat, bread and dog biscuit provide fantastic results.
This lake fishes well throughout the year.

The New Lake
This lake was dug in 2000 and is now producing consistently good match results as well as excellent fishing for pleasure anglers.
There is a total of 70 pegs, all with sturdy wooden platforms, on this lake which has been designed to give fair and even conditions all round. The depth is between 5' and 6' throughout and there is good reed fringing between the pegs to give shelter from fellow anglers. There are also islands of reeds which help to break up the open areas of water thus ensuring that all the anglers get a fair share of space. There are pegs for disabled fishermen on this lake within easy reach of the Car Park.
The stock is again predominantly Carp (Common, Mirror, Ghost and Crucian) going up to about 15lb and also some Tench, Rudd, Roach and Golden Orfe.
This lake is ideal for pole fishing and suitable baits for winter are worm and maggot. In the summertime sweetcorn, luncheon meat and bread all work well.
