2011 Metro Musketeers Angling Club Rules

As of the 1st League Match of 2011 at Monks on the Sunday 13th March the annual membership fee of £10 for Adults and £5 for Juniors will be paid by each angler that wishes to fish with the club for the 2011 season.

All paid members will be given league points from the first league match fished.

For non-members a guest membership fee will be £3 per match. (Guests will not get league points or be included in the Golden Peg)

Floating Baits:
A single floating hook bait is aloud (whatever bait that maybe), the lose feeding of casters and expander pellets up to 6mm is also allowed in moderation.
ALL OTHER TYPES OF FLOATING FEED (e.g., Bread, Dog Biscuits etc) ARE BANNED AT ALL MUSKETEERS MATCHES (FUN OR LEAGUE).

Cancellation of match bookings:
If you book a place on any of the matches in 2011 and cannot attend for whatever reason, please let Mark know within 3 days of match, this gives the club enough time to find another angler to take your place.

Match Fees:
All fun and league matches, except Chart Lakes, will be charged at £13 (+ £5 optional pools at league matches). All matches at Chart Lakes will be charged £15 (+ £5 optional pools at league matches). All match monies paid are non refundable.

Fishery Rules:
All Fishery rules are final, apart from the clubs floating bait ban, which is in effect for ALL matches even if the fishery allows floating baits or feed. (See above Floating bait rule)

Draw Time & match length:
The draw time for all Musketeers fun and league matches will take place at 8am at the venue. The match length will be 9.30am to 3.30pm for all matches, unless stated differently at the draw. All of the 2011 fun matches will be “walk off’s”. (i.e. If you draw number 1, you get to choose what swim you want first, draw number 8 and you are the 8^th angler to choose a peg and so on until all anglers have chosen).

Match Weigh in’s:
At the end of each match the anglers on the 1st and 2nd pegs and possibly the last 2 pegs (if 2 sets of scales are used) will do the weigh in. The 2 or 4 anglers doing the weigh in will be given up to half an hour to pack gear way before starting the weigh in. Their will of course always be a couple of extras anglers around to help with photos and weight recording. If an angler has a disability and cannot assist with the weigh in and has drawn one of the 4 weigh in pegs the angler on the next peg will help. If you draw on peg 1 or 2 and you decide to leave the match early for any reason, please make sure you tell the angler on peg 3 that they will be required to help with the weigh in.

KNOCKOUT CUP 2011

The Knockout Cup will consist of 32 anglers, some of which will be “byes” as we do not have enough anglers to fill all places. If any new angler joins the club on or before the 17^th April 2011 and they wish to fish the Knockout cup they will replace the first bye on the list. The 1^st round of the Knockout cup will take place on the 13^th march 2011 at monks lake 2.

LEAGUE TABLES FOR JUNIORS AND ADULTS IN 2011

As in previous years 25 league points will be awarded to the winner of each league match, with 24 points to 2^nd place and so on. The league winner will be decided on the best 8 league results for each angler of the 10 league matches taking place. The 2011 weight league winner will be decided on which angler has the greatest collective weight over ALL 10 league matches.

PEGGING AT MATCHES

Daren & Mark will carry out the pegging preparation and the pegging out at each match. Their pegging decisions are final.

NO PEG CHANGING

The peg you pick at the draw is final; under no circumstances can an angler change pegs.

Mr. Lucky:
Mr. Lucky is a draw that takes place after a match has finished when the trophies are awarded. The winning angler will choose a peg from the draw bag; if the angler that fished on that peg is still present, that angler wins £10 and the title of Mr. Lucky! until the next match.

LEAGUE MATCH GOLDEN PEG (MEMBERS ONLY)

At each league match before the draw is made, a random “Golden Peg” will be chosen, if that match is won from the “Golden Peg”, £10 will be given to the winning angler, if the match is not won from the “Golden Peg” the £10 will carry over to the next match for a £20 prize, and so on until the 10^th league match when £100 is the possible prize, if no one wins from the Golden Peg all year the £100 will be put back into club funds. If a guest angler is on the Golden Pegs a new Golden peg will be chosen until a members peg is picked.
