Tel: 01322 270397 DIRECTIONS  from the m25 take the brands hatch turn off and  follow all the way down to the roundabout at the bottom of the hill...(petrol garage on right)... turn left here onto the dartford road (a225) and follow upto farningham station where you turn right..(big bridge)...   follow down to the end and turn right ,then horton kirby fishery is approx 500 yds up on the right. the last of three locked gates to get into the kirby complex      firstly you need to belong to d.d.a.p.s to fish these waters .    By clicking the clubs logo you can visit the site.   There are three padlocked gates to get through  to fish the four lakes. As you enter the fishery, the lake on the left is Westminster, the lake on the right is Viaduct. If you continue to walk between the lakes you will come to the Western lake. The Silt pond lies between the river and Westminster lake with the first corner swims producing well for me during the summer months.                         PROTECTION                DIPPING TANKS AND TOILETS          DAWN ON THE VIADUCT just before the short chuck or down the river bank to the end of the silt are my favourite spots. although ive been fishing this venue for 30+ years i dont claim to be an expert but am willing to share my knowledge of things that work for me. i fish both match and carping as well as river stints so tend to mix tactics together with one n other... i hope to build a tactics n tips page in the near future where i can share my rigs and methods with you and hope to add kirby swim photos and positions where i fish and what bait works there for me with photos of catches from each swim on each lake although this may take some time  haha.     The Viaduct lake     A good Carp lake with fish to over 30lb, Tench over 7lb, Bream over 6lb, Pike over 20lb, Eels over 4lb, Perch over 3lb and Roach over 1lb. Boilies and particles work for Carp and feeder for the Bream. Watch out for the center path when the bloodworm hatch.  OH YEAH. Most of my fish from here have been short range and margin... i like to mix match tactics for the carp here when things slow down. My favoured rig here is 2oz,kryston mantis, size 10 hook and  inch selective bait peach and pepper 10m popup...(Bright yellow)....shotted for n/d of course. A large open end feeder with my own mix and a 10-12mm boilie or lob worm is another favourite of mine! dynamite large halibut have also proved their worth for me in this lake. When im fishing the center path first and second to last corner swims into the viaduct i like to fish over CCMoores bloodworm pellets with a 20mm fishmeal at 30-40 yds.....(its normally where the ripples show on the water!) TheWestminster lake      Another good Carp lake with fish to over 30lb, Tench to double figures if you can find them as well as Bream to weights of over 10lb. My best bait here has been J.V.S COCONUT CREAM (white boilies) and selectives tangee s +  black pepper.    Plenty of mussels in this lake so i like to use  odysseyxxx  as my 3rd bait for certain swims!!......... i fish it over green CCMoores Mussel pellets. (soaked in extract). well done to young dale for taking presley on the cream...  believe thats his first from westminster..  not counting his bream collection  haha. wills took 7 from the long chuck on a sunday night to cream and then 7 from the short chuck another night on the white cream again...  git..   TheWestern lake (Stock pond)       This lake has recently been stocked with Tench and small Carp. There are also some larger Carp plus Perch including one approaching 3lb which fell to a spinner, Rudd and Roach. Large bream to 6lb come out over hemp. DOG BISCUIT CATCHES PLENTY IN THE SUMMER MONTHS WITH MAGGOT CLUSTER BEING MY PREFERRED WINTER BAIT ON THIS LAKE selective strawberry cream  red n white pops are also a top fished killer ! For a match day on this lake i prefer Champion Baits expander pellet for picking out the better quality fish. The Silt pond       This lake is stocked with Tench, Roach to 2lb, Crucian Carp and some specimen Perch. its been said that the older tench died off but above, (top right) is proof of good tench.
