The Bulldogs made quick work of the Tigers to log another Division 6-5A victory. A 19-run second inning, led by Wes Price, Tyler Catchot, and Jonathan Pace with 2 hits apiece, led to the win. Clark Shearer was the winning pitcher, improving his record to 4 - 0.
Terry 12, Florence 2 (16 - 4)
The Bulldogs bounced back from a tough loss to defeat Florence. Rashun Dixon led the Bulldogs at the plate, going 3-for-3 with 2 Home Runs and 6 RBIs. Wes Price added 2 doubles, 2 RBIs and also scored 3 runs. Michael Manley kept the Eagle bats silent, surrendering only 3 hits and striking out 9 to earn his 7th win of the season.
Brookhaven 9, Terry 2 (15 - 4)
Terry's 13-game winning streak came to a halt at Brookhaven. The Panthers took an early 3-run lead in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back. Conner Butts struck out 4 Brookhaven batters in the loss. Michael Manley led the Dogs at the plate with 2 hits, including a 4th inning RBI double.
Terry 15, Wingfield 0 (15 - 3)
The Bulldogs clinched the Division 6 - 5A crown with the victory over Wingfield. Michael Manley recorded the Bulldogs' 4th consecutive shutout, striking out all 9 Falcon batters he faced. Morris Grant led the Dogs at the plate with 3 hits including a double and a Home Run. Conner Butts launched his 5th home run of the year, while Clark Shearer and Jonathan Pace added doubles. Manley also hit his first triple of the season.
Terry 11, McComb 0 (14 - 3)
Clark Shearer, Conner Butts, and J.T. Coward combined to record the Bulldogs' 3rd consecutive 1-hit shutout. Rashun Dixon added his 9th Home Run of the season and Morris Grant and Jonathan Pace added 2 hits apiece. Clark Shearer added a double and improved his pitching record to 4 - 0.
Terry 10, Jim Hill 0 (13 - 3)
The Bulldogs logged another Division 6 - 5A victory with another 1-hit pitching performance. Michael Manley allowed one Tiger hit and fanned 7, while going 3-for-3 at the plate with 2 doubles and 4 RBIs. Conner Butts and Wes Price chipped in 2 hits apiece as the Bulldogs improved their division record to 5 - 0.
Terry 14, Natchez 0 (12 - 3)
The Bulldogs remained undefeated in district play on the strength of Conner Butts' 1 - hit, 11 strikeout performance. Butts faced just one batter over the minimum to improve his record to 5 - 1. Jonathan Pace hit his 2nd Home Run of the season, and Morris Grant and Rashun Dixon both added two hits as well.
Terry 22, Yazoo City 5 (11 - 3)
Jonathan Pace led the Terry bats, going 4-for-5 with a triple and 2 RBIs. Rashun Dixon launched his 8th Home Run of the season, and Clark Shearer recorded his 3rd win of the season on the mound. Derek Harding added 2 hits including a double to record 3 RBIs and score 4 runs.
Terry 8, Clinton 0 (10 - 3)
The Bulldogs earned their 10th win of the season on the strength of some timely hitting, and Conner Butts dominant performance on the mound. Clark Shearer led the Dogs offensively, going 3-for-4 with a double. Tyler Catchot and Rashun Dixon added RBI singles and Butts only allowed 2 Arrow hits while striking out 8. Also, Butts' towering 3-run Home Run in the top of the 7th inning put the game out of reach.
Terry 18, Columbia 10 (9 - 3)
20 HITS. Eight different Bulldogs recorded at least 2 hits and four Dogs added Home Runs. Also, 5 different Bulldog batters recorded at least 2 RBIs in this offensive onslaught. Michael Manley earned his 4th win of the season on the mound, striking out 8 Wildcat batters.
Terry 15, Richland 5 (8 - 3)
Our first game of the Clinton Tournament featured the Bulldogs' 4th straight double-digit runs total. Rashun Dixon led the 15 - hit attack, going 4-for-4 with 4RBIs, 2 doubles, and his 6th Home Run of the year. Clark Shearer improved his record to 2 - 1 on the mound while adding a double and a single. Wes Price also had 2 doubles and 4 RBIs.
Terry 11, Christian Life Academy (LA) 1 (7 - 3)
Terry's 2nd game of the Classic ended the same as the first, with a 5-inning victory and an impressive offensive performance. Morris Grant kept his hot bat, going 3 for 4 with a double. Derek Harding hit his 2nd and 3rd Home Runs of the day. His 1st inning blast was his 2nd Grand Slam of the season. Conner Butts added 2 hits and Clark Shearer had a double. Michael Manley had a Home Run at the plate and 7 strikeouts on the mound to earn his 3rd victory of the season.
Terry 11, Baton Rouge Episcopal 1 (6 - 3)
The Bulldogs' first game of the MS-LOU Classic featured an 11 - hit attack that was led Morris Grant, who hit for the cycle. Derek Harding hit a double and a Home Run. Wes Price contributed 3 hits, including 2 doubles. Conner Butts struck out 6 Knights to earn his 3rd win of the season. Rashun Dixon's 5th Home Run of the season was the game's final hit, ending the game in the 5th inning.
Terry 12, Jim Hill 0 (5 - 3)
The Bulldogs ran their division record to 3 - 0 on the strength of Conner Butts' 8-strikeout, 2-hit shutout. Michael Manley, Morris Grant, Jonathan Pace, and Conner Butts each contributed 2 hits in the Division 6 - 5A victory.
Terry 9, Brandon 3 (4 - 3)
The Bulldogs again blasted 10 hits, including 3 homeruns to defeat Brandon. Jonathan Pace hit a double and a Grand Slam to record 5 RBIs. Rashun Dixon was 3-for-4 at the plate with 2 more Home Runs and 3 RBIs. Seven different Bulldogs recorded hits in the victory. Michael Manley recorded his first complete game victory as a Terry Bulldog, striking out 5 batters.
Terry 24, Murrah 1 (3 - 3)
A 15-run 4th inning propelled the Bulldogs to their biggest margin of victory in years. The Bulldogs capitalized on 9 Mustang errors to score 24 runs. Derek Harding and Rashun Dixon set a Terry High School Record in that 4th inning when they each hit a Grand Slam. Rashun also went 3-for-5 in the game with a triple, a single and 8 RBIs in the game.
Madison Central 10, Terry 4 (2 - 3)
The Jaguars ruined a good start for the Bulldogs with a 7-run 4th inning. Jonathan Pace, Rashun Dixon, Conner Butts, and Morris Grant led the Bulldogs with 2 hits each. Grant's hits included a double and a triple.
Terry 10, Natchez 0 (2 - 2)
Rahsun Dixon went 3-for-4 with a double and 3 RBIs. Clark Shearer added a double and a triple and scored 2 runs. The Bulldogs from Terry blasted 10 hits to defeat the Bulldogs from Natchez and run their division record to 2 - 0.
Terry 13, Wingfield 1 (1 - 2)
The Bulldogs began division play with a 12 hit performance at Leavell Woods Park. Rashun Dixon led the Bulldogs with a double and a homerun. Michael Manley earned his first varsity win of his career, striking out 6 Falcons in the first 3 innings.
West Ouachita (LA) 10, Terry 7 (0 - 2)
Conner Butts and Michael Manley led the Bulldogs at the plate with home runs. Jonathan Pace added 2 hits and 3 RBIs. But a late rally by W. O. in the 6th and 7th innings put the Chiefs ahead.
Tupelo 7, Terry 5 (0 - 1)
Conner Butts led the Bulldogs offensively with 2 home runs. He also put the Dogs in a position to win on the mound, striking out 5 Tupelo batters. The #1 ranked Golden Wave rallied late in the game to take the lead and the game.
