Brancaster Staithe is a beautiful village on the North Norfolk coast, and is an ideal holiday destination all year round. It is only a short drive from the cottage to sandy beaches, and boat, canoe or wind-surfer hire is available in the village, making it an excellent base for coastal walks or sailing holidays.
There are tennis courts and a golf course nearby, and a little further along the coast there are many interesting bird reserves including Scolt Head, Titchwell and Holme next the Sea. There are also many stately homes in the area including Holkham Hall, Houghton Hall and Sandringham House.
There are two excellent pubs within walking distance of the cottage, and many more just a short drive away.
Basic shopping is available in the village, otherwise ample shopping can be found in Burnham Market or Hunstanton, 6 miles away. There is a tourist information centre just down the road from the cottage in Burnham Deepdale, where internet access is also available.
