Ah yes, anybody who knows me knows I'm madly in
love with the Mechanist group and with grey draconium in general. Here's the
god of the Grey-Bone Dragon guides, written by yours truely and her horrible
obsession-ness of doom! <3
Of course, I just can't FIND the bloody post I put
it in! It's either on DL (Dragon Legends, see links) or on DBDB (Dragon Booster
Discussion Board, again see links) and I can't find it! Please help me- if you
find the post that I put my Grey dragon information in, E-mail me or PM me on
one of the message boards!! Please and thank you! <3
Episode Appearances
Alrighty, I've had an
obsessive-rewatching of every episode of Dragon Booster, and I made notes of
every single time anybody mentions grey draconium, grey dragons, the
Mechanists... any of that. And I typed it out WORD-FOR-WORD what was said. I
feel like I have no life. Oh well, I like the non-exsistant life I have online
with my grey dragons. XD
THE
HORN OF LIBRIS
Word: Get your gear. You
must compete in the Horn of Libris race today.
Moordryd: Ugh, against Khatah
and the Inner Order?
Word: I will provide a
wraith dragon to help you win the race. You will bring me that trophy.
Moordryd: What’s so important
about an old trophy?
Word: Ages ago, during
the great Dragon-Human war, the powerful grey bone dragons were the final key
to victory. They alone had the power to turn the colors of draconium against
themselves. Each side in the war hunted the grey dragon as the ultimate weapon
to dominate the planet. The Dragon Booster stopped all of that. But there is a
legend that speaks of a mystical device that has the power to summon the last
of the grey dragons. I believe that device to be the Horn of Libris trophy. It
is passed down through the generations and today these fools have forgotten the
power it really has. The grey bone dragon’s power can help me turn the dragons
of Dragon City against each other, and then the world shall fall before me.
Khatah: I am Khatah, Horn
of Libris Champion, and you have ruined everything, Artha Penn.
Khatah: Sorry?! That is all
I get?!
Artha: It’s just a trophy.
You can win it back next year.
Khatah: It’s not just a
trophy! I have to get it back! I am the great Khatah, and it is my
responsibility.
Artha: Responsibility?
What are you talking about?
Khatah: Aah, you will not
understand. You’re just a kid. What do you know about being a hero?
Kitt: You heard what he
said. Get the trophy back, and responsibility? He’s obsessed with the Horn. I
think Khatah’s going to go after Moordryd!
Artha: There must be more
to it if Moordryd and Word went through all that trouble to cheat and get it.
Parm: The Inner Order
crew versus the Dragon Eye Crew. That would be a terrible street war. Maybe
that’s Word’s plan.
Word: Is the horn safe?
Moordryd: In the vault, as
you commanded.
Word: Good. I’m sending a
team of Wraith Dragons to escort you and the horn to my location. But I caution
you: do not use the Horn of Libris. You do not want to call a grey bone dragon
unless you know how to control it An angry Libris will be ready to start a
battle. I want him to start a war!
Artha: Psst! Up here!
Khatah: Oh great!
Artha: Great?! I came here
to help you!
Khatah: I don’t need a kid
to help me! I am Khatah!
Artha: You have no idea
what you’re mixed up in, Khatah. The Horn of Libris is more than just a trophy.
We don’t know all the details, but we heard Moordryd say that if the horn is
used, some kind of grey dragon named Libris will show up.
Kitt: And start a
Dragon-Human war! Is that important enough?!
Khatah: So, now you know
why I must get the trophy back, why my crew is counting on me.
Artha: We’re here
together. Heroes don’t work alone.
Khatah: Hold them back!
I’ll get the horn!
Artha: You?! What about
me?! Us?! Khatah!
DB: You go the trophy,
Paynn, but you just lost the race! Don’t do it, Moordryd! You can’t control a
grey bone dragon!
Moordryd: Neither can you!
**
Kitt: Eeh, what’s that
noise?! It’s horrible!
<roar>
Parm: I am thinking that
sound is a bit worse.
**
DB: You don’t know what
you’ve just done.
Moordryd: Well I know what
I’m doing now! Getting out of here!
Khatah: This is not over,
Paynn!
Moordryd: No, but it will be
shortly
[We hear
footsteps. Lance is watching a puddle as it vibrates with the force of the
steps. A shadow of a big head starts to emerge. Lance becomes aware of it and
turns around. Libris gives a high screech sound and pushes his nose forward,
breaking the wall. Lance stares up in horror. Kitt comes flying by on Wyldfyr,
grabbing Lance as Libris’ foot comes down where he had been. She sets
him on a ledge.]
Kitt: Stay here!
[We see a side
view of Parm on Cyrano, the dragon’s stubby legs pumping. As we zoom out, we
see Libris chasing him, snapping. ]
Parm: Oooh, no!
[We cut to a top
view with Libris chasing Cyrano. Kitt comes in perpendicular to them, running
for Libris. Wyldfyr rams Libris’ foreleg. Libris throws his head back and roars
before his head comes right up to the screen. We see Kitt running down a narrow
street-like thing in the compound. It’s obviously from Libris’ point of view as
the camera goes up and down like he’s running, each time getting closer to
Kitt. Cut to Kitt’s face, which has a terrified expression as we see Libris’ head
right behind her. We zoom out to see Libris running again. His eyes change from
green to red suddenly. We then see Kitt and Wyldfyr running from above again,
but they’re solid red, the same color as Libris’ eyes. A red mag stream forms
in front of Libris (right between this teeth, actually) and shoots forward,
grabbing Kitt by her back. Kitt is thrown forward off of Wyldfyr. She skids
hard and turns around to look at Libris. She gasps as his head is right over
her, snapping.]
Parm: Libris, stay away
from her!
[Libris turns his
head to look at Parm, who looks ready to wet his pants and holding a blocking
staff in front of him. Libris’ eyes change to green suddenly and we see Parm
from Libris’ point of view; he’s glowing green similar to what Kitt was doing. Libris
narrows his eyes (though we only see one narrow) and Parm looks ready to faint.
We cut to a side view of Libris and Parm, Parm looking ready to die and Libris
opening his mouth a little.]
DB: Parmon, drop your
weapon and power down your gear! Libris is using your own draconium energy
against you. If you fight, he’ll fight, that’s why the bone dragon is
dangerous! He uses your own power against you!
Parm: A-are you sure?
DB: TRUST. ME.
Parm: Uuh, hehe, hello,
nice dragon. [Parm drops his blocking staff] N-nothing up my sleeves.
[Libris’ eye
flashes and we hear blocking staff fighting in the background. Libris turns and
sees Moordryd and Khatah fighting. The screen then changes so that we’re still
looking at the same thing, but it’s being reflected in Libris’ eye. Libris
raises his head and looks at the fighting pair. He begins to advance towards
them.]
DB: Khatah! Moordryd!
Stop fighting!
[Libris advances
closer. The two are still fighting and appear oblivious to the danger. Libris
gets right by them and opens his mouth. We suddenly see as though we were
inside his mouth, so that his top and bottom teeth are on the top and bottom of
the screen as we see Moordryd and Khatah stop fighting and jump back.]
DB: Forget the Horn of
Libris, Khatah. This isn’t about you and the horn, it’s about us and Dragon
City and the whole world! We need your help right now. Stop fighting!
[Khatah had raised
his staff, ready to attack. He relaxes his stance, then sighs. Holding his
staff in front of himself, parallel to the ground, he just drops it. It clangs
and Moordryd looks over at him. Moordryd relaxes the stance he had on his
staff. As Khatah turns to look at DB, Moordryd re-raises his staff, ready to
attack while Khatah isn’t ready. Libris roars. Moordryd lowers his staff some
and looks at Libris, who is now focusing his attention of Moordryd alone.
Libris’ eye narrows and flashes to purple-black. We see Moordryd from Libris’
eyes, glowing purple like Kitt and Parm before him. Moordryd is clutching his
staff in front of himself, terrified. Libris moves his massive head closer to
Moordryd, who clutches his staff closer, shivering several times before tossing
it away. Beau roars, shaking his chin-fin. Libris turns to look at Beau. Then
we see Beau standing tall and Libris steps down. He roars nastily.]
DB: I won’t fight you.
[Libris roars
again, and Kitt, Lance and Parm are taken aback. Beau gets an idea and powers
up a mag stream. Only, not a mag stream. The mag energy flows up white, then
descends into Parm, Kitt, and Lance, who are awe-struck. Libris’ head snaps to
look at the trio, the mag energy glowing on him. The light coalesces into a
ball on Parm, Kitt, and Lance’s chests.]
Parm: Woah!
Kitt: Woah!
[Libris looks back
and forth again, now confused. A mag ball thingy lands on Moordryd then Dragon
Booster. Lance’s lights up blue, then Kitt’s red, Parmon’s doesn’t light up,
but he still stares in awe. Moordryd’s lights up, then finally Artha’s. ]
MISJUDGED
Word: Do you know what
this is?
Kawake: Grey draconium! It
exists?
Word: Yes. I have found
the old shedding grounds where the grey dragons used to deposit their
exo-bones. Think of it: The power and the adaptability of grey draconium, the
way it can mesh with other energies and life forces. I can build you legs. You
can race once more. You’ll never be embarrassed like that again.
Kawake: I am retired,
paralyzed.
Word: Kawake, don’t you
see? We can use grey draconium to unite humans and dragons as never before.
There will be no war. But I need you and your Earth-class dragon to dig for it.
Here’s the map. Just consider it.
Kawake: I am digging for
grey draconium to help save the planet from a dragon-human war.
Kawake: It’s not grey
draconium! It’s black!
THE
MECHANIST
Parm: This doesn’t make
sense, Artha. The way Moordryd has been racing Decepshun, her energy
coefficient should be running at negative by now.”
Parm: Artha, Beau will
not have enough energy to finish the race if you keep pushing him like this.
Artha: Well, if that’s
true, Decepshun should be ready to fall at any second .
Parm: I have precisely
monitored Decepshun’s energy expenditure this race, and, well, it’s.. it’s just
not possible.
Rivett: What the Mechanist
give, we can take away.
Rivett: Maybe next
time, you’ll give me my full price, Paynn, and tell me what I want to know.
Rivett: Now, on to
more pressing business.
Parm: I still don’t
understand how Moordryd maintained such an exponentially increasing use of
Decepshun’s draconium reserves.
Rivett: I do. You know, I
watched you today out there. You race like a real champion, Penn. You’ll make a
true Elite racer one day.
And who are you?
Rivett: My name is Rivett,
and I am a friend. By the way, don’t feel bad. Moordryd was using grey assist
gear.
Parm: Of course! Grey
assist gear! Very rare, and very powerful.
Kitt: Made from grey
draconium, it can make any gear even stronger and help your dragon go beyond
his draconium limits.
Rivett: I want you to have
it.
Rivett: To sort of… level
the playing field. I’ve been watching your crew for a while. You’re going to
make it to the academy, I can tell.
Artha: I saw it Beau. He
must have his own personal shadow gear.
Rivett: Well, we seem to be
a bit of a standoff.
Artha: From where I’m
sitting, it seems like this chase is over.
Rivett: I’m not the thief everyone
says I am. I’m on what you might call… a mission.
Artha: What kind of
mission?
Rivett: I used to be at the
Academy. Y’see, I’m a Mechanist.
Artha: The crew of the
grey-bone dragon?
Rivett: Yes, like the
mighty Libris.
Artha: You know about
Libris?! How?
Rivett: Libris was once my
dragon. I have to find the horn that calls him.
Artha: Well, the-the horn
of Libris was given to Dragon City Security by the Dragon Booster.
Rivett: Thank the Magna
Draconis it’s safe! My quest can continue.
Kitt: I can’t believe you
let him go!
Artha: He said he was on a
quest to stop another Dragon-Human war, and I believe him.
Parm: I hope you know
what you’re doing.
Artha: Yeah, me too.
Lance: Yeah, me three.
Khatah: We have discovered
who the thief is! It is Rivett! I should have known when I saw the new grey
assist gear on Paynn’s dragon. Thank the Magna Draconis Rivett is not after the
Horn of Libris. With that much power, there is no telling what kind of disaster
that Mechanist thief could cause. He is a dangerous one. He was expelled from
the Academy for using grey draconium in a most questionable way. His
experiments ran towards the ancient arts. He used it on dragons, and humans.
Armageddon: He played you for a
fool. He’s only trying to get information. He’s a Mechanist, I’m certain of it.
Moordryd: A Mechanist?
Armageddon: Who else would want
to know about Libris?
Artha: Mortis, I don’t
know if he’s really a thief or not, but I don’t believe he’s bad. There was
something about him, something honorable, he knew about Libris! He said he
wanted to stop the Dragon-Human war.
Mortis: Historically, the
Mechanists have been known to be profiteers, little better than pirates. During
the war, many of them sold grey draconium to the highest bidder.
Artha: But he gave me the
grey assist pod.
Mortis: Grey draconium is
very dangerous, Artha. It is one of the main things that separate All City gear
from Elite gear. It is why the Empires of the past coveted the powerful grey
bone dragons such as Libris- to make battle gear.
DB: Looks like
somebody’s in an awfully big rush.
Rivett: Dragon Booster!
I’ve been expecting you I don’t want to fight you. I was just trying to get a
little… special attention for my calls.
Word: This does not
concern you, Dragon Booster. Leave the criminal to me.
DB: Sorry, Word, but
this very much concerns me.
Word: Very well, Dragon
Booster. Have it your way.
DB: Wraith dragons! You
wanted attention? You got it. Mag him, Beau! Let’s get out of here!
DB: What’s going on,
Rivett?
Rivett: You were there,
when Libris appeared! You know how dangerous the grey dragons are. He was there
to help the original Dragon Booster restore the balance. I have to find him, or
he and others like him can be used to start another Dragon-Human war. He must
be there again. Many of the other grey dragons were altered during the war,
using a hybrid of black and grey draconium.
DB: That sounds like
the same thing you were doing at the Academy before you were kicked out.
Rivett: The same
experiments, yes, but for vastly different reasons. You see? Libris is not
alone. There are other grey dragons still alive. They’re in hiding. They have
been altered. If somebody were to find them and reactivate the ancient gear,
they would have a most terrible army at their disposal. All they would need to
do was control Libris so he could not stop them again.
DB: So you need the
horn that’s inside Precinct. You’re trying to get caught! I think you better
come with me for now. We need to talk to somebody. Rivett! Stop! Rivett?
Rivett! Rivett!
Phistus: If what you say is
true about the Horn of Libris and the grey dragon it calls, we must help Dragon
City Security stop this Rivett, and his Mechanists.
Khatah: I second that. We
should go at once to Precinct and await him.
Let’s go!
Moordryd: Or we can catch the
little thief ourselves and take the horn. A crew that acquires the horn and the
Grey dragon it calls would be invincible.
Cain: They’ll never get
along they’ll all want the horn for themselves, it’ll be chaos.
Moordryd: Exactly. They’ll go
to Precinct and Fist-head and his sorry bunch with try to stop them. In the
mayhem we’ll grab Rivett and the Horn of Libris.
Cain: And just how are WE
supposed to catch him?
Moordryd: I’m the only one
who knows the only other way out of Precinct, Cain. When Rivett comes out with
the Horn, he’s ours.
Rivett: I never thought it
would come to this.
Parm: Bad news, Artha,
I’m getting a very peculiar energy reading from inside the Precinct station.
DB: Lemme guess, grey
draconium? Then Rivett is already inside.
Parm: I’m sure of it.
DB: Wish I hadn’t
guessed that.
Moordryd: He has
human-powered shadow and escape gear?! It must be the grey draconium.
Db: No time to explain!
The horn of Libris, is it safe?!
DB: Haa, thank the
Magna draconis!
Faier: Safe and sound,
Dragon Booster. Safe and sound.
Artha: I knew he was on
our side.
Mortis: It does appear that
he chose the your safety over the Horn of Libris.
Parm: But with all of his
gear and his skills, he could get back into Precinct again.
Lance: Hopefully he’s
learned his lesson.
Kitt: We may never know.
Lance: Somehow, I don’t
think we’ve seen the last of the Mechanist.
NO
PAYNN, NO GAIN
Rivett: Artha Penn.
Kitt: Rivett? Uuh, I
don’t know about this, Artha.
Rivett: You wanna sneak
into the Academy or not? This device will deactivate any security systems you
come upon. Ah-ah.
Artha: What?
Rivett: You haven’t told me
WHY you want to sneak into the Academy.
Kitt: What? Huh.
Artha: I need information
from a library that will help save Word Paynn.
Rivett: Aah. You’re
beginning to sound like a Mechanist, young Artha Penn. You understand that not
all in life is black and white. There is MUCH grey.
