I have no education in art save a couple of summer courses in photography. Growing up with mental illness caused me many problems and I’ve never really been comfortable in a classroom or most social settings. But I love to create! In my younger years it was primarily sketching, painting (acrylic, oil & airbrush). In an accident in 1992 I was crushed by a pickup and car, which left me able to spend less and less time standing or sitting. I thought art was lost to me until computers broke the pentium2 barrier and started exploring digital art.
I have spent years adapting my techniques as a painter and to work with the tools I have. Trust me, it takes a great deal of practice to change from painting with brushes and airbrush, to painting with a trackball (see below). I literally have to paint with my right thumb controlling a one inch ball, not the easiest thing and yet I have achieved the ability to paint at near photo quality. Having a mind that already obsesses with patterns, I soon came to discover the world of fractal art and it didn't take long till I was exploring just how far I can take such a passion. I have taken fractals beyond the normal genre of abstract geometric works and created a new genre, Fractal Illusions!

As a digital artist I have come to think of my work as weaving light and illusion. Combine that with a good healthy imagination, influences such as astronomy, theoretical physics and more than a few science fiction books, movies and shows, and I am able to offer truly unique works of art to brring life to your walls.
