TEIRWGWYN

We are Pete and Alison Roberts and along with our young daughter Nikita we own the Teirwgwyn affix. We live in a small village called Penygroes in North Wales along with our dogs and other furry friends.

We got our first Bullie in March 2000, Marvin came to us from Bullywood Kennels and has changed our life so much, I Alison have had dogs all my life but Bullies really do get under your skin and I can not imagine my life without one.

Having never shown a dog before or even attended a dog show I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the whole experience and dog shows were soon a regular family outing for us!!!!. Our daughter Nikita soon got bitten by the showing bug too and started showing our boy Marvin in junior handling classes at 6 years old, she soon progressed to the main breed ring at championship shows with Marvin, competing at Crufts with him at 9 years old. In 2005 she was chosen to represent Wales in the National Junior Handling finals at Crufts.

Alison is a committee member of 2 local canine society's and acting Treasurer of one, she also regularly teaches Ringcraft Training at a local Dog club.

As well as our own dogs we regularly take in abandoned dogs on foster basis, our most recent being a heavily pregnant Jack Russell who whelped 6 little puppies...... dogs definately keep us busy!!. All our dogs live in the home with us and the other furries we have (cats, Rats & Hamsters) as do any foster we take in, temperament is very important to us.

Alison and Nikita have both passed The Kennel Club Examination on Requirements of a Dog Show Judge, Nikita was only 9 years old at the time and is presently the youngest person to have passed the examination. Also they have both attended a breed specific seminar covering Breed Standard, Conformation & Movement, common Faults and Virtues, Placing Dogs & critical analysis of placings, Critique writing & Judging procuders. Alison has also passed a Conformation & Movement hands on assessment.
