it appears that ROBERT
ELLIS has added about twenty
PICTURES
to the captain beefheart section of his REPFOTO
library since i spotted it june last
year, and more are announced! there is a nice job for you to investigate
why ten of the photos from 1972 are credited to the wrong concert (a clue:
'striped shirt')....

pay attention to captain beefheart in their september
issues. for instance, Q #242
and MOJO #154
- which already are available at the shops! - contain reviews
on the remastered ceedees as well as
pictures
they dived up from their archives [with mojo adding a short interview with
ex-member gary lucas]. and the soon to come UNCUT
#112 will have the track
'ice cream for crow' on the free ceedee
(and probably a review, too - and another picture?)

ZAPPA. the last gap to fill was the page
about the CDS & COMPILATIONS
with the important, but quite short vocal

i'm sorry there still
aren't many updates here. but you shouldn't think i am doing nothing! during
my long break i stayed in form, that is: behind the screens. for instance,
all the while i kept on extending, correcting and editing all the DISCOGRAPHY
data, added facts and pictures, or replaced some of them, and so on (just
check the russian lick
my decals off, baby counterfeits,
if you like)....
but the main reason
why i wake you up now, is the series
of REMASTERED
ALBUMS which virgin
is about to release [on 7 august], including a 'new' live
record, six promos,
and a sampler
