Arthur Mills and Frederick Bennett

On this website you can find information about two British Congregational pastors, one from the 19th century and one from the 20th century.  Frederick Bennett lived in Victorian times and spent eighteen years in the Kent seaside resort of Broadstairs where I live. Arthur Mills fought in the first World War and lived through the second: he was my uncle.

Available for download are articles on the lives of these two men. I intend to add sermons preached by the two men and Bennett's autobiography - "The Life Story of a Christian Minister", published in 1890. At present there is just a Bennett sermon and the first three chapters of his book.

Frederick Bennett lived in Turkey and served in the Indian Navy before becoming a Congregational minister in 1851. He was responsible for the building of the Vale church in Broadstairs, an English seaside resort.
