7/12/09 - VLR_Shock comes from 8th to finish 2nd in the last race of the JCR season tonight at Lasalle to earn hard charging honors.
7/12/09 - VLR_18 dominates on the first league race at the Dirt Track at Lowes at VLR today! VLR_v56 comes home 5th followed by VLR_BG in 6th. VLR_Shock was wrecked early in the race, then his motor blew with just 3 laps to go causing him to finish 10th. VLR_McGee got the raw end of a deal in the B Main and wrecked.
7/9/09 - Skins packs have been uploaded on the driver skins page
7/8/09 - VLR_18 and VLR_Shock raced over at WCS again, along with teammate VLR_BG at the Cedar Lake Raceway for the 50 lap main event. This week they went 1-2 once again with VLR-18 edging Shock out again to get his 4th win of the month of July already with VLR_BG coming home with a strong 7th place finish.
7/6/09 - Four VLR drivers attempted to make the A Main at WFO on Monday, and all 4 suceeded as VLR_McGee lined up on the pole. Unfortunately McGee was shuffled back pretty quickly and WFO_ICE took the lead, but VLR_18 showed great patience in second as he looked for ICE to mess up to take the lead. 18 regained his momentum in the month of July as he went on to win for the 3rd time this month in 4 starts, passing WFO_ICE with 7 to go and picking up the win. VLR_McGee battled strong to get back up front for a 4th place finish, while VLR_BG52 is showing improvement to get 6th. VLR_Shock had a bad night after charging up to 4th but was put in the wall and fell to 6th, then just went off track with only a couple of laps to go and finished 8th
7/5/09- The VLR members headed over to the DTR2/VLR Showdown at the Dirt Track at Lowes and had some bad luck. VLR_Shock finished 2nd in the first two of three segments, but in the third he tangled up in a wreck battling for the lead which took he and dtr2 legend GLH_Jigger out of contention. VLR_18 then looked poised to win after restarting 6th in the final segment. 18 lead for the first time with 4 laps to go getting by Rainman, but Rain drove it in a bit to hard and made contact with 18 sending him flipping and spinning down the frontstretch. He was ok in the wreck but had a dnf in the 10th place. VLR_BG was able to snag a top 5 finish in 5th, though.
7/5/09- VLR_18 picked up his 2nd win already of the month winning at XCR leading all 75 laps in the race at Crown Point Speedway. VLR_BG52 was the other VLR driver to make the trip to Indiana, and he came home with a strong 3rd place finish.
7/1/09 - VLR looked to get the month of July started off well, as VLR_18 and VLR_Shock made the trip up to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to compete in the WCS series presented by WFO_Gates at the Victory Lane Speedway. It was VLR_Shock and VLR_18 who went 1-2 in the heats, and lined up 2nd and 4th respectively for the feature. XCR_High Flyin was on the pole, but VLR_18 quickly worked his way to the lead by both HF and Shock and never looked back to win the 40 lap feature on this narrow bullring. VLR_Shock was able to clear HF to come home in 2nd in a days work. Next week the Wissota Championship Series travels to Cedar Lake Speedway in Wisconsin to trade paint at one of the top tracks in the country. Great job 18 and Shock going 1-2!
6/30/09 - VLR sent four drivers over to the Illini 100 tonight in Farmer City, Illinois to compete for the win. It was an all VLR front row as VLR_18 and VLR_McGee qualified the top 2 over 20+ other drivers, with VLR_Shock qualifying 4th. VLR_BG was also in attendance, but wrecking qualifying and had to go to a backup car and didn't quite make the A main. In the A main it was Shock who quickly worked his way to third and followed VLR_18 and VLR_McGee as it was a VLR 1-2-3 race until lap 50 when VLR_18 suddenly had a flat tire and the caution came out. He had to go to the rear and everyone thought his night was done, but McGee looked to take advantage to win the prestigious race and pick up the top prize of a T shirt. On the restart at lap 52 it was VLR_18 restarting 10th, with the duo of teammates McGee and Shock lined up on the front row. McGee quickly jumped out to the lead while Shock realized immediately he had handling issues as he slid up into the x59 machine of WFO_Rainman. After this Rainman caught and past him while Shock fought handling issues, as he still was able to smile as he watched VLR_McGee take charge. VLR_18 was on a mission as he quickly was already up to 4th as Shock just waved him on by and he moved into third, and quickly closed in on Rainman...then, almost unbelievable for the 2nd time in the race more trouble befell 18 as his steering went out and he was forced to retire after charging to the front. But at the end, it was VLR's own, the "Kid" McGee taking home the checkers and winning a t shirt and a skin! VLR_Shock showed amazing ability as he hung onto his car and got a 3rd place despite having no handling. VLR_18's day ended terribly in 9th, despite possibly having a dominant car, but once again it was a VLR driver in victory lane as Mr. Smooth McGee brought it home in nice fashion!
