Team Taboob 2008

Breasts. Boobs. Boobies. Whatever you call them- they're still somewhat taboo to talk about in public- but everybody's got 'em! Breast cancer is diagnosed in someone new every 3 minutes. We should be talking about them without embarrassment or secrecy. That is why we are "Team Taboob" and we are going to walk 39 miles in 2 days this October and will help raise millions this year for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in Charlotte, NC. It could be your grandmother, mother, sister, daughter, neice, cousin, best friend, neighbor, and even you. Get over the taboo and let's talk about breast cancer.

In 2005, three of us started this journey. In 2006- The Uplifters were created and the passion for the cause grew. In 2007, the tranformation to Team Taboob was made and our team of 19 woman raised $36,605!

Team Taboob is growing bigger this year - 2009 is going to be AWESOME!  We have 14 Team Members so far.  The walk this year is on the 24th and 25th of October in Charlotte, NC.
