[ Team Shinsengumi: We will Assassinate all Challengers ]

Welcome to Team Shinsengumi

Hello and welcome,

This site is for the Shinsengumi race team. Though we tune some at home, this site is dedicated to our Initial D Arcade Stage 3 team. So far, we have 4 members racing. We would love more, even if you don't live in the same state or country. Basically we will get together by email, talk about stats and cars, and see if you could become a member. Most importantly, we will race against other teams and practice together, as well as compare TA times against other team members. There will possibly be some limits, but for now, anyone can send in a request to join.

Thanks,
  JYO-X

Recent News and Updates

This is where we will post new updates and also post recent news dealing with the site or the game. The anime/manga as well. Lots of links added. Check them out, they are really good. So far this site has little to offer, and I am trying to get pictures of races, other details and recruit members. Sadly, there isn't much competition here....being in Alaska.

12/30/05:

Well, now that I have decided to start doing Time Attacks, I plan to take over every single course, every direction, every condition. Today I took out Shomaru Outbound in one try, but then decided to work on my FD. I didn't have enough time, because of a dentist appointment, but I defeated Akagi and all of Akina except Takumi I think. I can't wait to go again, now that I'm getting back into groove. Any challengers? lol

12/29/05:

Well, went down to the arcade two days in a row now. Finally getting back into a groove. Anyways, today I arrived and there was already some kids there, so I challenged one to a race. We went to Akina and he started off the line ahead. He was decent on the hairpins but I was faster. But, disaster struck when on the 5th gear corner after the first set of hairpins, my foot slipped off the brake slamming me into the wall. I started to catch up but it was too late. I ended up losing by about 2 seconds.

So, I was getting warmed up after that race and decided to challenge him to Shoumaru. By the way, he was also a DC2. Anyways, we went to Shoumaru and he once again got off the line first. I caught up to his tail in no time, but failed to get around him, thus suffering another defeat. lol it was sad....

Though I did set a Shoumaru record afterwards. I waited for the game operators to refill the token machine. They were so freakin slow. I did however do great on Akagi today as well. Oh well, I'll be heading back tomorrow, and I hope to see that racer again. This time, I'll wipe the snow and water off the pedals.

12/16/05:

Please welcome the new captain of the 5th squad, HAKU.

12/15/05:

Happy Holidays! Wow, I really wish I could live in the lower 48 states. I want to attend the Formula D's, and especially tomorrow's D1GP USA Vs. Japan (Ike! Nihon!) Sorry, I have to cheer on Japan. I really wish Dai would be drifting on his home countries side, but oh well. I want him to win as well.

Nothing much new here, except I have another job so I get less opportunities to go to the arcade. I got a new challenge at school. It shouldn't be hard...but oh well, it's action I guess. I still need to buy my Bunta Impreza and also my S13. I can't wait to get back to the touge and practice! We still have open spots in the team, so if you'd like to join, please email me at the contact addresses. Thanks, JYO-X

10/17/05:

We have a new temporary member to TS. Please welcome, Endo(Endou), direct from Japan on a 8 or so month stay in Alaska. Just a quick reminder. The team is international, so if you'd like to join please email us. There are still a few captain positions available for the 1st, 4th, and 5th units. Thanks, JYO-X

10/15/05:

Got a free Altezza today, but it was a auto, so I don't plan to use it. Also a free Spirit R too. OKAMI got a new R34, black one, and I continued to play with my DC2. I really wish that car would be a little faster....stupid B18C. Oh well, I defeated Takumi and such on LOTS and then battled about 9 times. I sadly lost 1 time, because the opponent had chosen Usui, which is not really a great course for the DC2. He had a Skyline. I then, to fish him back, chose Happogahara. Kinda mean...but oh well. He deserved it. OKAMI also has a MSN account. Just use okami_the_legendary_fc_racer@yahoo.com . (Copy and Paste, it's annoyingly long). You can also add me, dark_rougedemon@yahoo.com . Just leave something about TS in the brief message. Thanks. (My MSN will come up with a pic of Ryousuke, and say Japanese characters. Okami will have kanji for Ookami, and then Okami next to it in [ ]. Well, See ya around.

10/14/05:

Started the EVO 4, and think I like it. I enjoyed the speed increase on courses such as Usui and Myogi. I guess my R34 also was pretty fast. Anyways, I sadly didn't play much because of time restrictions. Oh, and Okami purchased a R32. I took $60 to spend and spent about 7 on the game, 10 on the movie. I watched The Fog if anyone cares. I battled against only 3 people, all beginners, and then raced on the LOTS. I hope I can find my way over to the arcade again before the weekend ends. I hope I can hook up with some teams in Las Vegas, since players are scarce here. Take care, mata ne.

10/12/05:

Not much is happening around here at this time. I'm trying to gather some new team members and about to start a LanEvo4 card. I can't wait to get back to the arcade. I recently talked to Pasta, a friend of some of the Project Inertia team. Didn't really talk about anything inparticular though. Anyways, that's all for this update, see you soon. Also, remember, if you'd like to join TS or you have any questions, or if you wish to challenge us when we go to Las Vegas, email us at: drift_or_dai@yahoo.com or shinsengumi_no_meiyo@yahoo.com . (dark_rougedemon@yahoo.com and shinsengumi_id@yahoo.com are ok as well, but don't gte checked as often)

9/30/05:

Well, it's been a long time since my last post. Sorry. The touge has been relatively quiet lately, only a few battles here and there will some random people. Not a big challenge, but it was fun. Got my card stuck in the machine the other day, had to get my tokens back, and then totally was out of shape for my drifting. The drift initiation is one flaw in the programming of the game. That's no problem though. Formula D is pretty much over now, my friend Dai ended at 5th position or so in the season. Oh well, better luck next year. I'm suprised Chris won the last tournament. Of course Rhys Millen took the 1st place pole. I wish it was more Initial D style, instead of a style points type thing. I will try to update the site with times and such soon. Sorry for the long delay. I've been busy programming a game so I haven't had much time. I really hope to find a new team around here to race against. It would be a lot of fun I think, and more challenging. There are some decent asian racers here, and I think 1 decent white racer. I've met them. Hopefully I'll see them soon and battle them. I sure wish the top speed and acceleration of my DC2 would be better. If anyone wants some nice drifting clothes, I would recommend Pacific Rim Motorsports Fashion. They have nice stuff. I bought a "drive it sideways" S13 shirt, and the Daijiro portrait shirt. The ladies seem to like it. If anyone has any questions, they can still email me anytime. shinsengumi_id@yahoo.com, drift_or_dai@yahoo.com, or shinsengumi_no_meiyo@yahoo.co.jp will work. Meanwhile, leave posts in the guestbook. I'd like to know some things about the reader's cars and race results, etc. Put your car make, points earned, and team name if you have one. See ya.

5/9/05:

Got to head to the arcade where I threw down some laps around Akina. Bought a new card, FD. OKAMI bought an FC. Strangely that is reverse what it should be. Oh well, all was well, as the tires screeched around the Akina touge. On top of that, please welcome 2 new members to the team. Kaze (wind), the fourth unit captain and Hiro, the 1st unit captain. Both driver's details to come soon. (I ran out of space....just the link pictures take up half of it)

If any cares, the Formula D season just started up and the winner was the Pontiac GTO, defeating Alex Phieffer and his RS-R Honda S2000. (Makes me mad) I was hoping Dai would win, but he had some car troubles at the beginning and spun out. Better luck to Daijiro Yoshihara next time. Also I like Ken Gushi, but don't like his TOYO tires, factory backed 2005 Ford Mustang. (I love TOYO though) Well, I guess I'll keep most of you updated in the world of drifting from time to time.

5/5/05:

Well, it's been a while. Hope everyone is doing well. Sadly there is not much more info to give at the moment. But, soon expect to see records and times posted. Until next time.

4/19/05:

We've been around the arcade for the last 10 days gathering records of other racers and also conducting experiments to train by. They need to hurry up and restock the machines with cards though. New members soon.

4/12/05:

Hey everyone, I have recently decided to take off the small quiz to join. Now anyone can join the team, regardless of skills. But come on, if you aren't going to join the team, then at least email me or send something to the guestbook please. Some other team should post times or something while I am getting our times recorded. Thanks, Until next time....

4/10/05:

Headed over to the arcade to battle some people, then raced some on LOTS mode. Successfully defeated the challengers despite a strained wrist.

4/04/05:

Nothing really that new. I'm going to gather some cash and head down to challenge some times on outbound HPG. That's all.

4/01/05:

Well, happy April everybody. I'm still working on the MP3 pages, but there are still quite a bit to download. The team raced today, just against a couple random people (non team). Oh well, easy prey, but one of the guys I thought about recruiting. He had some talent and maybe could gain in skills over time. Nothing really new besides that, there has been a new Japan Corner section, right now featuring Mt. Akagi, so check it out. There is also car info, character info, a fanfic area coming, a basic overview of the Initial D series and more about the IDASV3 game. More updates in the future, but as for now, sign the new guestbook and also vote in the polls.

Thanks, until next time,

JYO-X

3/29/05:

Updated music section. Ran out of allowed space so I had to create some secondary pages for the mp3s. Sorry for the inconvinience. Extra music links being added soon.

3/24/05:

Updated links area and also added a couple of new web polls so go cast your votes. Coming soon: Guestbook, Audio, more Pics, Video.

3/23/05:

More updates on the site, and the realization that the site can't expand much more since I haven't bought the premium service.

3/20/05:
So far, just have been updating the site and playing the game at the arcade. No news yet. Keep checking back.

What is Initial D Arcade Stage Version 3?

Initial D, a hit Japanese manga (comic) and anime tv show, has had movies, as well as games. This game, created by Sega, has great graphics, a precise steering system, and a great level of experience needed. (yes, it can be highly costly, so save up some allowance or something) One feature, like the past Arcade Stages, is the data card, that saves your data. You can also exchange data from AS2, and switch it to AS3. After a while you have to do an "inspection" in which you pay to get a new card to transfer data onto. It is mandatory. The races cost one dollar each, and the game has a points system to rack up for new upgrades.

It has 3 categories of races to be done are the "Legend of the Streets", "Bunta Challenge", and the Time Attack. If you lose to Bunta you lose points so I recommend practicing some. A good part about versus mode with a challenger next to you is that you can win the race and not have to repay to play. If your credits are already in the machine, when they put in their money and challenge, it doesn't cost you unless you lose. A win/loss total is also calculated and stored on the data card so you will know your opponents win/loss record.

Points can be gained from this as well. There are quite a few tracks to play, and you can customize whether you wish to drive at night or day, wet or dry roads, uphill/downhill, or clockwise/counter-clockwise, etc. There are also many cars and makes to choose from, so choose wisely.

While driving, like any game you should make a habit of not hitting the walls or rails or your opponent. This will severely slow your car down. Though it may sound harder, you should choose manual transmission. In the long run it is better, and it is also faster due to more precise shifts. Im sure you will probably, enjoy this great game. The game is very fun, please play it!
