The channel swim involves swimming from Dover to Calais which in itself is 21 miles. Although during the swim the current will be against us constantly therefore adding an extra 7-8 miles to the swim making a grand total of 28-29 miles. Between us this means that we each shall swim roughly 5-6 miles. On average it has took teams in the past roughly 11-13hrs to cross the channel and we are looking to swim a sub 12hr channel crossing.
