Supposedly, she had appeared in more than 80 episodes of Home Improvement before her name was added to the opening credits. It was about time.
I thought that she played pretty well off of Tim, and especially Al. In the conceit of the show, they claimed that her character, Heidi, was a master electrician. In later seasons, they depicted her as being competent in a variety of handyman tasks. But let's face it... if Tool Time were a real program, I rather doubt that those would have been the reasons for hiring her.
Debbe started out on Home Improvement by playing a shapely lass named (get this) Kiki van Fursterwallenscheinlaw. This was back during Pam Anderson's tenure, but it apparently made her a prime candidate to replace Pam in the third season.
I wish I had her genetics (um, but in a male flavor, mind you). I have to work out with great vigor in order to stay in shape. For some people though, it comes almost naturally, and I envy them tremendously.
