Tony Fernandez is a Published Writer, Compere, Public Speaker, Radio Presenter, CEO for AFRICA4U and Multiple International Award Winner

People also see him as a cultural and social entrepreneur, which means he is skilled in working with many different communities, bringing people together in successful focused events. Tony has organised many cultural events involving both BME and mainstream communities. He is skilled in hosting events that reinforce community cohesion and bringing different kinds of people together. He has organised events in many parts of The UK and some parts of Europe.

As a Compere and Public Speaker for social events and corporate functions he takes interest in various community and social projects  and is available for  Motivational talks and Youth Empowerment projects in Europe and Africa

Tony was born in South London and has lived in several parts of England and Nigeria . He started writing at the tender age of nine, a habit he expressed with creative enthusiasm. Tony writes Poetry, short stories and proverbs on personal development. He is currently working on his 4th book which will also be his first novel. He is also into Public Speaking at Special events and Social functions and is a Mentor for young people in the UK Community. 

He completed a Bachelor of Arts degree at The University of Lagos, Nigeria in English and World Literature. He later went on to attain a teaching qualification at The Frances King International Training Institute, South Kensington London, it was here he studied Teaching English as a Foreign Language. He also studied Web Design at The City University in London.

 He published his first book in June 1999 called "The Beauty in the Dark" (A Collection of Poetry which received critical acclamation in many circles around the world). .Tony's aim in life is to inspire the young generation and to encourage the youth to make the very best of their dreams and aspirations,. He published a 2nd book in June 2009 called  " The Sound of Running Water" - A Family gift book of proverbs and quotations on Personal Development and Positive Thinking .

In December 2009, he  published his 3rd book called "One Moment of Peace".- A collection of Poetry  inspired by personal experiences and spiritual growth.

Tonys writing is mostly inspired by his personal experience, love, truimph, hardship, childhood, relationships and the many countries he has visited which include France, Spain, Belgium, Latvia, Cheq Republic, Holland,  Hungary, Denmark, Sweden, Poland,  Scotland, Wales, Tunisia and many other places

Besides the fact that the Artist has won International online awards, he is mostly inspired by Life experience, love, music and cultural awareness. He was Resident Poet at the 5th London Poetry Festival in 2009 and has been a guest on BBC Radio Berkshire on three occasions and has also been a guest on The Anne Diamond Show. He has also been a guest on Top FM 90.9 Lagos and Smooth FM 98.Lagos

Tony has also appeared as a guest on SKY CHANNEL 184 - BEN TV

On Wednesday the 30th of October 2013, Tony Tokunbo Fernandez organised his biggest event ever- The Black History Month Celebration at the House of Parliament. The Special Guest on the day was The Minister for Justice and Women Affairs- MP Helen Grant. There were fifteen key speakers at the end - MP Alok Sharma (who sponsored the event). Mr Akin Salami- CEO of OHTV, Mr Alistair Soyode- CEO of BEN TV, Mr Steve Sodje - Former Professional Footballer, Mr Sam Onigbanjo- CEO of Women4Africa to name but a few. 

He also organised and compered THE AFRICA4U ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS for Africans in Holland on Saturday the 8th of February all the way in Rotterdam, Holland 

On Sunday the 27th of April 2014, Tony won  The Nigerian European Awards, Radio Presenter of the Year, 2014 which took place in Rome, Italy

Tony is also The Bronze Award Winner - Nigerian MC of the Year UK - 2014 and in a recent visit to Nigeria, he was given A Special Award for Excellence by The Walkfront African Network.

He was also voted Male Business Coach of the Year 2014 at The Ebony Business Recognition Awards held in London and given A Special Trubute Award for Championing Black and Ethnic Minority Visions at the same event 



Tony has a huge appetite for Life, A profound fascination for the history and philosophy that influence people and cultures, but most importantly a natural willingness to listen, share and learn.


In recent years he was the Radio Presenter and Producer  for an International Talk Show called  "AFRICA4U" - The Radio Show for Africans around the world. Every week he intrviewed Role Models, Community leaders, Social Entrepreneurs, Motivational Speakers and people making a difference o the lives of others as the show is aimed at empowering and inspiring people around the world. In less than a year his listening audience doubled which includes followers in The Uk, Germany, The States, Canada and Nigeria. He has also interviewed over 150 guests in less than two years.  


Tony has also interviewed high profile personalities including Ex Uk Goverment Ministers and Members of Parliament

He is now the CEO for  AFRICA4U

11th of October 2011 - I presented a brand new internet radio show called "Africans in Berkshire " . I played music from Nigeria, Ghana and Congo. I also had two special guests in the studio.- Obiora Egere, A social Entrepreneir and owner of a company responsible for obedience behabiour of dogs and Lesley Elias- The organiser of The Mozambique Photo exhibition as part of Black History Month.  I alos presented another new show called "The Black History Month Show" and played some RNB Classics. The special feature for The Black History Month Show was Hisory, Culture and Tourism in Cross River State Nigeria.

23rd of March 2011 -  I was the Guest speaker on the smooth book review show with Derrick Kirk Douglas of Smooth F.M 98.1 Lagos, I spoke about my published work and read my poems on air. The show lasted for about an hour


 

17th of April 2011 -  I was the Guest speaker on Top Radio 90.9 FM, Ikeja Lagos and spoke about my published work and my role as a mentor. I also spoke about the importance of mentoring in Nigeria


 

12th of March 2011 -  I organised an event at The Wokingham Library in Berkshire called "Poetry People". Three other published poets read their work on the day. Mary Emeji and Alan Rainer visited Wokingham from Luton and Ngozi Fakeye also read from her work.

27th of October 2007 - Organised The International Exhibition of Cultural Awareness as part of Black History Month and bringing people together from different communities. This was held at the Forest Park Community Centre in Bracknell, Berkshire.

24th of October 2007 - Helped organise A Spoken Word Workshop which was led by Beyonder from Apples and Snakes. This was held at the Coopers Hill Community Centre, Bracknell

October 2007 - Special Guest Speaker on BBC Radio Berkshire where I had the opportunity to read poetry and engage in literary and social discussions. I also spoke about the events I was organsing for Bracknell History month in Bracknell and my next book due to be launched in 2008
