Orks and their brethern come in all shapes and sizes. From the slowly grot to the massive squiggoth, the ork race is very diverse. Here are a random assortment of ork minis I've converted and painted.

Just a simple grot. I really like these old sculpts, they have lots of character, especially in their evil little faces.

Just some normal slugga boyz.

This one was originally designed as a painboss, but I think he could work just as well as a warboss.
The legs are meant to represent a cyborg body and he's equipped with a heavy armor, powerclaw, choppa and bionic bionce.
Here's mek with a custom forcefield.
Normal ork, but I converted him so he's about to draw his slugga western style.
The first is regular nob converted with gorkamorka in mind, the next five orks are part of the warboss's retinue (they're all based on warboss bitz since the warboss is actually quite large).

The last photo here is of an old school warboss. I just use him as a nob since he's not very big.

Here's a savage ork nob and a standard ork boy next to him for size comparison purposes.

While I was recently working on some ork merchants for Mektown I decided to convert and paint up another skarboy, using the orc arms from the starter Warhammer boxed-set. Some of those orcs (from the intro boxed set) have some pretty beefy arms and I think they work well as a good alternative to the orc command sprue arms I've used in the past. (For more details on the rest of the conversion, check out the Skarboyz tutorial section).

One of the Gorkamorka gangs I'm working on is a gang that all wear masks. I've been inspired to do this by the new kommandos (and the head bitz--gas masks). Those won't be out for a few months still, so I decided to go ahead and convert a tankbusta boy in the mean time. Here's how he turned out. The conversion was fairly simple (replace the stikk bomb with a suitable choppa). I also converted the other hand as well, but that was just because I bitz ordered this guy and I didn't want to pay for the one hand when I had plenty of spare ork hands and guns around.
