Qur’aan 3:7
He revealed to you this scripture; some of its verses are decisive (literal)-consisting of straightforward verses, which are the essence of the scripture, as well as allegorical (symbolic) verses. So as for those in whose hearts is perversity, will pursue the allegorical verses to create confusion, and to seek different meanings. No one knows their true meaning except Allah and those who possess knowledge. They say, “We believe in this, for it all comes from our Sustainer.” And none will grasp the message except men of clear understanding.
