Theme Story hour! Read a few stories and do a craft or project/activity that has to do with the theme of the month! Done by RSVP - Contact Solascridhe@aol.com for more info! Ages 5 - 10 - ages 11 and up can have a reading circle/book discussion or join in the themed unit.

Every Third Friday of the month - FWB Landing Park Day!
9am to noonish... This is meeting up with a few families from a neighbor group. They arrive early (9ish) I tend to get there later lol... This park is on Brooks St next to the Science Center
After each of the Science Center events I typically will spend some time at the park that's right next to the Science Center (the Fort Walton Beach Landing Park right there on Brooks Street) for about an hour and then either take my kid to lunch somewhere near... If you wish to meet up with me just arrange it with me before hand so I know to meet you and where ... email me at solascridhe@aol.com RSVP preferred for all events or I won't know who to look for!

Coming up!!! Pen pal letters... Have your kids write to other homeschool kids in other states - I'll start taking names and finding partners for pen pals starting in May!! Summer Wax class! I'll offer a beeswax class with no burners for kids - sheets of beeswax get costly, so there will be a $8 charge for the class to reimburse materials. Kids get to keep the candle they make! Will be posting this class for probably August (we'll be using sun heat to heat the wax!!) September Talking stick making class - history and it's use... bring your own stick and decorations... will post more details in the beginning of September!
