A Perfect Army 

A Tau Army which follows the pure path of the destiny of the Tau Empire should be as follows:-

HQ

2 Shas'o :- 1 with Plasma Rifle and Missile Pod and the other with Missile Pod and Burst Cannons. Both need a Shield Generator and hard-wired Multi-trackers

4 Bodyguards (Two with each Shas'o) :- Both Squads armed like this : 1 with twin-linked Plasma Rifles and the other with twin-linked Missile Pods. Both with Target Locks.

ELITES

6 XV8 'Crisis' Battlesuits (two squads) :- All armed with Missile Pods, Burst Cannons and Multi Tracker. Bonded

6 XV15 'Stealth' Battlesuits :- With normal weapons. Bonded.

TROOPS

72 Fire Warriors (six squads) :- All with Pulse Rifles. All Squads Bonded

FAST ATTACK

16 Gun Drones :- Normal weapons

16 Pathfinders (two squads) :- Photon Grenades, 3 Rail rifles in each squad with Target Lock, Devilfishs with Targeting Array. Bonded.

HEAVY SUPPORT

6 Broadsides (two squads) :- Normal Weapons. Bonded. Target Locks

1 Hammerhead :- Rail Gun and Burst Cannons

TATICS FOR THE PERFECT ARMY

The Army above is a pure shooting army and here's how to use it :-

Shas'os' and Bodyguards :- Use on heavily armoured troops. Use drift rules

'Crisis' Teams :- Use Missile Pods on heavily armoured infantry, but when these are wiped out use Burst Cannons on lightly armoured infantry

'Stealth' Battlesuits :- Use on small, relativly lightly armoured squads.

Fire Warriors :- Use for wiping out basic troopers.

Gun Drones :- Use on powerful enemies to try and pin them for the rest of the army to shoot

Pathfinders :- Use markerlights on enemy tanks but when all tanks are destroyed then use to protect flanks of your infantry

Broadsides :- Use to destroy enemy tanks that are harrasing your infantry squads

Hammerhead :- Destroy enemy tanks and then use ordnance to destroy big squads.
