Satin Ball Ornaments

Page 1                           Go To Page 2

        For these you will need a Satin Ball any size

10 thread and 5 needle unless otherwise specified

Straight pins and small beads make sure the pin heads can't go through the beads or it will not work.

A thimble unless you want very sore finger tips (i learned from experience on this one)

TIP: if  your ball starts to unravel or fray just spray with a little bit of hairspray it will keep the ends together.

lp = long picot                                   SSR = Small Split Ring

sp = small picot                                 LSR: Large Split Ring

dnr = Do NOT RW

These are worked off the ball.

R: 1 sp 2 lp 2 sp 2 lp 2 sp 2 lp 2 sp 2 lp 2 sp 1 cl

cut tie hide ends

♦Adding to the ball:

 put one bead on a pin and pin on the satin ball using the thimble to push them in the small picots i used about 10 - 12 small flowers on a ball of this size about 3" round.

 ******

The 1st one was done with size 7 needle and the 2nd one with a 5 needle

This pattern is not mine i got it from a doily pattern that my dear friend designed and he graciously gave me permission to use it with my little change.
